War of the Archons

A large-scale war that raged in Teyvat for several millennia and ended 2000 years before the start of the game. All the Gods of the world fought for the throne promised by Celestia (the abode of the Gods), and this event had an incredible number of participants. All the lands lay in ruins, and there was no rest for mere mortals anywhere, and no one could stay away. In each kingdom, the war proceeded in its own way, but the result was the same - found seven winners, the most powerful deities who created new kingdoms from the ruins of the former.

After the end of the war, the era of the Seven Archons began, lasting until the present day. Of the original winners only two survived “Barbatos and Morax, the rest died for various reasons. Nevertheless part of the losers in the war survived and fled from the lands controlled by the victors, and now dwells outside the kingdoms. The place where they live now is called the "Dark Sea", and the apostates themselves are called "evil gods".

History of all Archons of Teyvat in Genshin Impact

Each of the Archons in his domain has statues decorated with oculuses - bundles of elemental energy. All sculptures are made in the same likeness - a light stone, a high pedestal and a figure of a deity in full growth. But who are these Seven, who are worshiped by entire nations?

Barbatos, God of Liberty

Barbatos, God of freedom, and part-time Anemo Archon - the patron of Mondstadt. Initially, it was an ordinary wind elemental, a gentle breeze that lived among mortals and did not possess any special powers. He gained his divinity after defeating the former Anemo Archon - Decarabian, and absorbing his essence. This allowed him to take on the appearance of his best friend - a nameless bard who died in the war.

In the same way, it was Barbatos who changed the relief and climate of Mondstadt, helped in the successful uprising and the creation of the Ordo Favonius, appointed the Guardians of the Four Winds ... and, with a completely honest look, somehow ceased to participate in the life of the region. At the moment he lives in the guise of a bard Venti, plays the lyre, has a clear addiction to alcohol and a mischievous character. He is one of the original Seven and is a playable character.

Morax, God of Contracts

Rex Lapis Morax, Lord of the Stone, God of contracts/ trade / history / war, the oldest of the Archons and the second living member of the original Seven. A Grand Adept whose true form is a large Chinese dragon with brownish-gold scales.

Once a year, he appeared to the people of Li Yue at the Rite of Descension to give instructions. Created a common Teyvat currency - sea, the rules of trade, founded by Li Yue, convened those who protect the people from the demons Yax and Millelites. Lesser Ruler Kusanali, she is the Goddess of Wisdom - the current Dendro Archon, the youngest of the Seven, as she is only 500 years old. She had to take this place after the great sovereign Rukkhdevata began to eradicate forbidden knowledge from the region. Her ideal is wisdom, but as follows from the in-game information, wisdom itself is her enemy, and she can only humbly observe all the research at the Academy and the work of scientists, without having her own opinion.

Nahida appeared in the Archons' quests related to Sumeru, and was rescued from the sages by the locals and the Traveler.

Focalors, God of Justice

Focalors is one of the most mysterious Archons, whose full story was told as part of the region's storyline Heavenly order.

Having separated the divine essence from the shell, she created Nevilletou and freeing Furina from the burden of the curse of longevity and playing in front of the people. Upon completion of the Archons' quest "Masquerade of the Guilty", there is no longer a Hydro Archon in Fontaine, and there never will be.

Aim (Murata), God of War

• Marchosias - God of the hearth from Li Yue, born in this status. He loved the human race very much and voluntarily parted with his life, giving their power to pacify natural disasters.
