Danjin in Wuthering Waves: Guide & Build

A guide to creating the best build for Danjin, a wanderer who set out on a journey in search of justice.

Danjin [Danjin] in Wuthering Waves β€” a four-star owner of a one-handed sword and the Havoc element, representing a melee fighter, belonging to the so-called "berserker" class - she sacrifices a certain part of HP when using the Resonance Skill and increases the amount of damage inflicted. The damage is so much that Danjin is rightfully considered, if not the strongest, then one of the strongest epic characters in the game.

However, there is a nuance: this character is far from being for beginners, since in order to play her effectively, you need to already be familiar with the mechanics of the game, learn to dodge and parry enemy attacks, because due to the constant expenditure of health, the heroine will literally be on the verge of death. In this guide, we will tell you about the Danjin build, including the best weapons, Echo, characteristics and materials for pumping.

How to get

Danjin in WooWearing Waves is a 4⭐ character that can be obtained in any banner, including the weapon banner, but with a random chance. To unlock the heroine's resonance chain links, you need to get copies of her. The easiest way to collect Danjin is when the chance of her dropping increases in the event banner.

Characteristics of Danjin

Depending on the stage of elevation, the values of the main characteristics increase: attack power, health and defense. You can track the exact increases in parameters in the table below:

Level of Basic Health Basic Attack Basic protection
1 755 21 94
20 2467 70 302
30 3103 88 380
40 4243 122 518

70 7662 217 933
80 8801 245 1071
90 9438 263 1149

As you learn talents in the skill tab, Danjin gains an additional increase to Havoc's damage bonus and an additional 12% ATK bonus.

Danjin's abilities

Danjin is best used as a primary DPS. The combination of her basic attacks, Resonance Skill, and Resonant Release make her a great damage dealer, while her Outro Skill can also help other Havoc characters in the party.

Active abilities

We will tell you about all the skills of Danjin.

Basic and Heavy Attack, Air Attack, Counterattack [Execution]

Basic Attack - Performs up to 3 consecutive attacks, dealing damage to Havok.

Heavy Attack - has three variations, depending on how much Danjin has accumulated Ruby Blossom. Ruby Petals can be obtained by activating Resonance Skill: Crimson Fragment.

  • If Danjin has less than 60 Ruby Petals, Danjin's Heavy Attack will channel all of its power into the blade and consume stamina to perform 3 consecutive attacks, dealing damage to Havok.
  • If Danjin accumulates 60 Ruby Petals, she will use a heavy attack to absorb all the energy in the Resonance Scale [Forte Circuit: Serene Vigil], meaning all the petals, and deal a blow. β€œChaoscleave”. It has Havok damage, which is considered as heavy attack damage. This attack will restore Danjin's health.
  • After using Chaos Cleave, use Basic Attack to attack the target. "Scatterbloom". This attack also deals damage to Havok, which is considered as heavy attack damage.

Mid-air Attack - Danjin spends his stamina to perform a falling attack, dealing damage to Havok.

Counterattack [Dodge Counter] - Using a basic attack after successfully parrying and dodging will cause a counterattack with increased Havok damage.

Forte Circuit: Serene Vigil

Used to accumulate Ruby Petals and perform Heavy Attacks such as Chaos Cleave and Blossom Cleave. It is also worth noting that if Danjin has accumulated 120 Ruby Petals or more, her Heavy Attack will consume all 120 petals to increase the damage of her next Heavy Attack, whether it is Chaos Cleave or Blossom Cleave.

Resonance Skill: Crimson Fragment

After activating Resonance Skill, each attack consumes 3% of Danjin's max HP. When Danjin's HP is less than 1%, attacks no longer consume HP. Resonance Skill has three variations of use:

  • Carmine Gleam - If you use one basic attack and immediately press Resonance Skill, Danjin will attack the target once, dealing damage to Havok.
  • Crimson Erosion - After a successful counterattack, dodge, second basic attack, or Intro Skill, Resonance Skill can be activated twice to cause Danjin to deal up to two consecutive hits (Crimson Erosion I and Crimson Erosion II respectively). If Crimson Erosion II hits a target, Danjin will leave a mark on it. Incinerating Will. Danjin's damage to enemies marked with Incinerating Will will be increased by 20%.
  • Sanguine Pulse - After the third basic attack, the Resonance Skill can be used three times, dealing up to three consecutive Havok attacks.

Resonance Liberation: Crimson Bloom

Danjin becomes enraged and begins swinging his dual blades rapidly, performing several consecutive attacks and ending with a particularly powerful attack. Scarlet Burst, dealing damage to Havok.

ive skills

Inherent Skill 1 [Inherent Skill: Crimson Light] - When using Crimson Erosion, counterattack damage is increased by 20%, and HP consumption and the amount of Ruby Petal units generated are doubled.

Inherent Skill 2 [Inherent Skill: Overflow] - After "Bloody Pulse", Danjin's heavy attack damage is increased by 30% for 5 seconds.

Switching skills

Intro Skill: Vindication - With unwavering determination, Danjin attacks the target 4 times, dealing damage to Havok.

Outro Skill: Duality - For 14 seconds, Danjin increases Havok's damage to the next character by 23%.

Resonance circuit (consts)

1. Crimson Heart of Justice When Danjin marks a target with Searing Will, their attack power is increased by 5% for 6 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. Danjin loses 1 stack each time he takes damage.
2. Dusty Mirror When Danjin attacks a target with Scorching Will, the damage it deals is increased by 20%.
3. Fleeting Blossom Resonant Release damage increased by 30%.
4. Solitary Carnation When Danjin has more than 60 Ruby Petals, her Critical Damage is increased by 15%. This effect lasts until Blossom Sundering is cast, even though Danjin consumes all the petals when casting Chaos Sundering.
5. King's Blade [Reigning Blade] Havok Danjin's damage is increased by 15% and increased by an additional 30% when her HP drops below 60%.
6. Bloodied Jade After activating Chaos Sundering, all team gain 20% increased attack power for 20 seconds.

Danjin is a rare example of a character where all Wave Ranges are a great purchase. There are no key waves, nor are there any waves that change the gameplay dramatically, each constant simply and tastefully directly increases the girl's damage. An experienced player on S6 Danjin will be able to deal with any opponent, only if he does not have immunity to Havoc damage.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any other character, Danjin has his pros and cons.

Advantages Disadvantages
It has a simple and easy to rotation. Requires a certain amount of skill from the player to maximize the damage it deals.
Can act as both a sub-DD and a main-DD, depending on what you need. Also, Danjin is the best for Havoc Rover. Playing as Danjin is always fraught with risk: most often, one or two hits are enough for the girl to die, which can be a problem, especially when fighting multiple enemies and long-range opponents. Therefore, either a shielder or a healer should automatically be in the team with her.
In of the ratio of Wave Ranges (const) and the bonuses they provide, Danjin is one of the best characters in the game. In order for Danjin to start producing really big numbers, it is necessary to open at least the first two consts. On S0 it shows itself worse than standard five-star damage dealers.
Very agile in combat, has incredible parrying abilities, which makes it easier to fight bosses. Danjin has a very small radius of attack, and most often it will only be able to hit one target, even if the second one is standing very close.
Relatively flexible in of weapon and Echo choices.

Skill Improvement Order

For Danjin main DD and sub-DD there is no difference in skill leveling priority. The girl's damage depends on the Resonance Skill and the effective use of Resonance Scale units to deal damage. Thus, the leveling order looks like this:

Resonance Skill = Resonance Gauge > Resonance Release β‰₯ Basic Attack > Intro Skill

Danjin's basic attacks will mostly be used as opening combos to generate resonance energy, but they should not be ignored completely. Focus on upgrading them along with Resonant Release. Increasing the damage of the Intro skill is also useful, but upgrading the rest of the abilities is much more important.

Pumping materials

To upgrade Danjin you will need various resources.

Best Danjin Build in Wuthering Waves

To properly assemble Danjin in WuWa, you need to properly develop her characteristics, select weapons and a team.

Recommended value of characteristics

  • ATK: 1700-2000+
  • HP: 14000+
  • Defense: 1200+
  • Havoc Damage Bonus: 40-70%+
  • Critical Hit Chance: 50-70%+
  • Crit. Damage: 250-260%+
  • Energy Recovery: 0%

Danjin does not require an additional percentage of HE to function properly, and it is not recommended to specifically seek it out, but if you can get it, casting your ultimate more often will result in increased overall damage in fights.

Weapon Selection

Considering how often Danjin will be using Resonance Skill, she will need a weapon that will complement her playstyle. Blazing Brilliance - signature weapon Chang Lee, is definitely the better choice as Danjin can provide 100% sword uptime while greatly increasing overall damage.

If there is no such weapon, then on R0 the best epic weapon will be Commando of Conviction or weapons from the Battle , Lumingloss. If you have R5 Endless Collapse, you can use it as an alternative to Lumingloss. But if you upgrade Lumingloss to the maximum rank, it will become better than the budget Commando of Conviction and Endless Collapse and a top-3 weapon on Danjin.

Echo's Choice

Echo Set Main Echo for dialing Recommendations

Sun-sinking Eclipse

2 parts: Havok damage increased by 10%
5 pieces: Using a Basic or Heavy Attack increases Havoc's damage bonus by 7,5%. Stacks up to 4 times, lasts 15 seconds.

Dreamless

Effect: Resonator transforms into a creature and attacks enemy targets with Havok element 6 times. Each of the first 5 hits deals 33,80-54,08% damage, and the last attack deals 169-270,40%. Echo deals 50% more damage for 5 seconds after Havok Rover uses Resonant Release. Cooldown is 20 seconds.

Sun-sinking Eclipse is the best set on Danjin, offering a significant increase to Havoc's damage at no extra cost. Dreamless is the perfect choice for Danjin's main DPS. While Echo doesn't provide any buff when used, it makes up for it with a quick AoE burst, which is theoretically enough to immediately clear out smaller enemies near the main target.

Sun-sinking Eclipse

2 parts: Havok damage increased by 10%
5 pieces: Using a Basic or Heavy Attack increases Havoc's damage bonus by 7,5%. Stacks up to 4 times, lasts 15 seconds.

crownless

Effect: The resonator transforms into a creature and deals up to 4 consecutive attacks. The first two deal 96,37-134,08% Havok damage (each), the third attack deals 72,28-100,56% Havok damage 2 times, and the fourth attack deals 48,19-67,04% Havok damage 3 times.

After transformation, increases Havok's current character's damage by 12% and Resonance Skill damage by 12% for 15 seconds. Cooldown is 20 seconds.

Crownless is not the best choice for a Danjin main DPS, as it is much slower than Dreamless. However, it is still a viable option if its stats are better than Dreamless. While it does offer a boost to Havoc damage and Resonance Skill damage, transforming into it almost always results in a loss in overall DPS.

Lingering Tunes

2 parts: attack power increases by 10%.
5 pieces: While the equipped character is on the battlefield, their attack power increases by 5% every 1,5 seconds, stacking up to 4 times. Outro skill damage increases by 60%.

Mech Abomination

Effect: Strikes enemies in front, dealing 30,40-48,64% Electro damage. Summons mechs to attack targets. Summoned mechs deal 200-320% Electro damage and explode after a while, dealing an additional 100-160% Electro damage. After using this Echo's skill, the character's attack power increases by 12% for 15 sec. Damage dealt by mechs is considered Outro damage of the skill. Cooldown is 15 sec.

An alternative set whose downside is that it takes 6 seconds to max out the ATK boost. The only thing that works as a main Echo is Mech Abomination. Echo does pretty decent damage and increases Danjin's attack by 12% for 15 seconds.

Sun-sinking Eclipse

2 parts: Havok damage increased by 10%

Lingering Tunes

2 parts: attack power increases by 10%.

Cooldown is 20 seconds.

Only use this set if you don't have enough Echoes to build a full set of one of the two Sonatas. The combination of Havok's damage and attack damage increases should help you farm better Echoes.

Moonlit Clouds

2 parts: energy recovery speed increases by 10%.
5 parts: Using an Outro skill increases the attack power of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15 seconds.

Impermanence Heron

Effect: Transforms into a creature and flies up, diving down and dealing 223.22% Havok damage. When holding the skill, you can remain in the form of a creature for a longer time and attack with flames, dealing 40.05% Havok damage for each attack. The very first attack that hits enemies restores 10 units of character energy. If the hero uses the Outro skill within the next 15 sec, the damage of the next resonator will be increased by 12% for 15 sec. Cooldown - 20 sec.

The set should be used in teams where Danjin acts as a secondary damage dealer and uses buffs to strengthen the main DPS.

Recommended stats to look for in Echo's core stats:

4 cost Critical Damage/Critical Hit Chance
3 cost Bonus Havok Damage
3 cost Bonus Havok Damage
1 cost ATK %
1 cost ATK %

Secondary stats that you need to unlock in Echo to get the most benefit (from most to least important):

  • Critical Damage/Critical Hit Chance
  • Attack power, both in % and without
  • Heavy Attack DMG
  • Res. Skill DMG
  • Basic Attack DMG

Detachments for Danjin

Considering all the features of Danjin and her needs for partners, we will provide the most suitable characters and squads for her.

Best characters

List of heroes that are best suited for the Danjin squad:

Character Class Element Features
Verina [Changli] Given Verina's versatility, it's no surprise that Danjin would be happy to have her on their team. In addition to buffing her ATK, she also solves Danjin's biggest problem - the need for a healer who can resurrect her in an emergency.
Baiji [Baizhi] Baiji has the same abilities as Verina, but with a caveat: she can only resurrect characters with the opening of the fifth const, and her Outro effect does not apply to all teammates and requires adjustment when rotating characters.
Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] It has all the abilities of the above-mentioned resonators, but in addition to ATK, it also provides additional critical damage, critical hit chance, and knockdown protection.
Jianxin [Jianxin] A versatile character that provides enemy pull, shields and decent healing.
Rover (Spectro) [Spectro Rover] The main character may not be the most obvious choice, but he offers something that no other character currently has: time stop and full stasis for enemies. Having access to healing (unlocked with 4th const) and the ability to β€œfreeze” enemies for 3 seconds makes Spectre Rover a great for Danjin, giving her extra safety when performing combos.
Rover (Havoc) [Havoc Rover] Havoc Rover is currently one of the two best Danjin characters. This is because her Outro skill gives a 23% damage boost to Havoc, which is obviously useless for non-Danjin characters.
Camellia With the help of his Outro skill, Danjin can significantly increase the damage dealt by Camellia, while the traveler herself will deal quite a bit of damage.
Mortefi [Mortefi] While his ultimate gives Danjin a few extra hits during his rotation, the main reason Danjin wants him on his team is the 38% Heavy Attack buff his Outro skill provides. Since a third of Danjin's damage already comes from her Heavy Attack, Mortephy could potentially further increase Danjin's already impressive stats to the level of a five-star damage dealer.
Taoqi A great buffer for Danjin. Her 38% damage boost to Resonance Skill works great on the wanderer, as half of her rotation (and about a quarter of her damage) comes from her Skill, and the extra shield that Taoqi creates definitely comes in handy. Keep in mind that using Taoqi requires adjusting her build and rotation to avoid taking up too much of Danjin's time on the battlefield.

Zhezhi

A 5-star alternative to Mortephy. Buffs Resonance Skill damage and performs coordinated attacks, providing Danjin with extra energy.

Danjin main-dd

Made-dd Sub-dd Features

Danjin

Mortefi Zhezhi Shorekeeper Verina [Verina] Best team for Danjin. Danjin's main source of damage is her heavy attack, which also heals her, so it's advisable to have Mortephy as one of her teammates. You can put Zhezhi on to buff Danjin's Resonance Skill damage. Both resonators increase Danjin's damage and perform coordinated attacks with their ultimates, dealing extra damage and pumping Danjin's energy. Guardian of the Shores can buff both of these resonators while simultaneously healing Danjin with her Resonant Release field. One of Guardian of the Shores' ive abilities will also provide a significant burst of healing if Danjin takes a fatal blow. Alternatively, you can put Verina on.

Danjin

Taoqi Shorekeeper Verina [Verina] The main DD is Danjin. Taoqi will buff her with her Outro skill and deal good damage herself, as well as provide the team with shields, which is very important for a character like Danjin, who is played from the mechanics of spending HP. Guardian of the Coast/Verina will fill ATK, heal and, if necessary, will be ready to provide emergency healing if Taoqi's shields fail or Danjin does not have time to heal.

Danjin

Yin Lin [Yinlin]

Mortefi
Taoqi

Youhu

Mortephy buffs Danjin's heavy attack damage, Taoqi buffs Resonance Skill damage and provides the team with shields. Yinling performs coordinated attacks, increasing the overall DPS of the team. After Yinling, a should always enter the battlefield. Instead of Taoqi, you can put Yuhu: she will heal the squad, reduce enemy resistance to damage and buff Mortephy/Yinling's coordinated attacks.

Danjin

Yang Yang [Yangyang]

Taoqi Heroes who rely on the damage of the Resonance Skill will find strong in Taoqi, whose Outro skill increases the damage of this type of attack. At the same time, the girl will create shields and inflict damage. Yang Yang can play both as a sub-DD and become an attack power buffer for the team.

Danjin

Rover (Spectro) [Spectro Rover]

Baizhi Taoqi Mortefi F2P team for beginners. Danjin will benefit greatly from Rover's stasis, as well as the healing and attack power that Baiji provides. If Rover has a 4th const open, he will also be able to heal Danjin, so to increase the swordswoman's damage, you can remove Baiji and put Taoqi or Mortefi in her place.

Danjin sub-dd

At the moment, Danjin can three heroes: Havoc Rover, Taoqi and Camellia, but Danjin will work more effectively with Rover. With Camellia, Danjin has average synergy, the same Sanhua will give her a much greater bonus with less time spent on the battlefield, but if Sanhua is not available or she is busy with another team, Danjin will be a good alternative.

Taoqi has very mediocre damage and questionable mechanics, so using her as any kind of damage dealer is not recommended, but as a under Danjin, Taoqi, on the contrary, will show herself well, buffing her with her Outro skill and providing her with shields.

Main-dd Sub-dd Features
Rover (Havoc) [Havoc Rover]

Danjin

Baiji [Baizhi] Jianxin [Jianxin] Danjin is the best for Havoc Rover, because she is the only one who gives a bonus of 23% Havoc damage in the game. Any shielder or healer can be put on the third slot.
Camellia

Danjin

Baiji [Baizhi] Jianxin [Jianxin] Camellia is the main DD, Danjin is a sub-DD with the Impermanence Heron set and the Moonlit Clouds sonata. Any healer/shielder goes into the third slot.

Danjin: Rotation

Please note that both of the following rotations require Danjin's Inherit Skill: Crimson Light ive, which is unlocked at Resonator Rank 2. Also note that while enemies will not stand still and will attack you, Danjin's combo does not have to be continuous, allowing for some flexibility in its use.

Danjin main-dd

This is a full rotation for the main DD. Allows you to effectively restore the Resonance Scale.

  • Intro skill
  • Resonance Skill: β€œCrimson Erosion” I
  • Resonance Skill: Crimson Erosion II
  • Resonant release
  • Resonance Skill: β€œCarmine Glow”
  • Base attack 2
  • Base attack 3
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” I
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” II
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” III
  • Base attack 1
  • Resonance Skill: β€œCarmine Glow”
  • Base attack 2
  • Base attack 3
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” I
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” II
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” III
  • Resonance Scale: β€œChaos Split”
  • Resonance Scale: β€œBloom Split”
  • Echo (used to cancel the Blossom Split animation. The animation itself of turning into Echo can also be cancelled)
  • Outro skill

Note: If you don't have enough energy for your Ultimate early in your rotation, you can use Resonant Release after any of the three Blood Pulse hits. In this case, replace the initial Resonant Release with Basic Attack 1.

Danjin sub-dd

This is an alternative, shorter rotation for the sub-DD that can be used to quickly trigger auxiliary effects like the Moonlit Clouds sonata effect.

  • Intro skill
  • Resonance Skill: β€œCrimson Erosion” I
  • Resonance Skill: Crimson Erosion II
  • Resonant release
  • Base attack 1
  • Resonance Skill: β€œCarmine Glow”
  • Base attack 2
  • Base attack 3
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” I
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” II
  • Resonance Skill: β€œBloody Pulse” III
  • Resonance Scale: β€œChaos Split”
  • Resonance Scale: β€œBloom Split”
  • Echo (used to cancel the Blossom Split animation. The animation itself of turning into Echo can also be cancelled)
  • Outro skill

Note: If you don't have enough energy for your Ultimate early in the rotation, you can use Resonant Release right before Chaos Cleave, or skip it entirely, as the rest of the rotation provides Danjin with enough Concerto energy to use the Outro skill.

Π‘onclusion

Despite the fact that Danjin does not top the damage ratings and is somewhat of a skill-dependent character, with the right approach and opening Wave Ranges, she has the ability to deal huge damage, which is not expected from a character of her rarity. The girl can be a strong and effective DD, but only if you learn to dodge and parry enemy attacks.

The Resonance Skill cooldown has no cooldown, but it does drain her HP, and since Resonance Skill can be drained multiple times, expect the swordswoman to always be below 50% health. In other words, Danjin will be walking on the edge, relying only on her Heavy Attack to restore health. However, the respite will not last long: the points restored will quickly be spent, and even a healer cannot guarantee that Danjin will survive an enemy hit due to how quickly she consumes health.

On the other hand, if you want to make Danjin a sub-DD/hybrid, she will remain relatively healthy most of the time, which will allow you to play more relaxed. In any case, no matter what role the girl plays, she will definitely not disappoint, because it is not for nothing that the heroine is considered one of the strongest four-star characters.

We hope this guide helped you put together the best Danjin build in Wowering Waves. Read on for a detailed Wuthering Waves section.
