Talk to Rana when you're ready

After defeating the molders, talk to Rana, she will offer to go together to the village of Vimara. Agree and follow her down the path.

Follow Rana

Rana will head south along the road leading to the village. Walk together to a fork infested Withering. Convince the guard that you can handle him.

Eliminate the Wither Zone

In order to destroy the branches of Withering, take the Dendrogranums located nearby. Use Charged Attacks or Aimed Shot to attack each of the branches. Do not forget replenish the supply of Dendrogranums, because when attacking a branch, one granum is spent.

When broken, the branch releases multiple directed projectiles that deal high damage. Be prepared for this and watch for marks appearing on the ground.

When the last branch is destroyed, several molds will spawn. All enemies must be defeated.

When all branches are destroyed, activate the central wither swelling by pressing a button (default F) to destroy it and clear the area.

Go to Vimara village

The further path will have to be done without Rana. Follow the quest marker by continuing along the path where Wither met.

Talk to the old people in the village

Once you reach the village, Rana will start a dialogue with the old man, notifying the village of her arrival. After the end of the conversation, the guard will go to other residents. Follow Rana: go along the river and climb higher. You will meet a young man at the house.

Talk to the young man

Alfonso is another resident of the village. From a conversation with him, we learn that local children often run away from supervision and get lost in the forest, which is why he and Rana have to look after them in their free time. The dialogue will end when the children come up to greet the guard.

Follow the children to Rana's house

Rana will go to meet other adults. Follow the children to her home across the suspension bridge to share stories and learn about the creatures that live in the forest.

Talk to children

Each child will ask for an interesting travel story in exchange for a story about what Sumeru is hiding.

The order in which you speak to children is not important, nor is the wording of the stories for them.

They will refuse to say anything about the “aranara” creatures, saying that adults should not know this.

Leave the village of Vimara and go to the indicated place

Accept gratitude from Rana for looking after the children and go to the exit from the village.

Talk to the guard. Rana will offer to go further on the road. Agree if you don't have other quests. Next will begin Mission Campaign.

I don't have such a task in the list of completed ones, and that zone is already cleared. I talked to Alphonse, got the achievement, but the task did not appear. I was at the place where the task should start several times, tried all the advice. In the book they simply write in text: "You promised to deal with the bad people. They are still in the village of Vimara."
I've searched the entire village, there are no hints or question marks there. Help, I'll go nuts...

What should I do if I destroyed the withering zone before the quest and now I can’t complete the quest?

I don’t know how it is, but I have already ed almost the entire Sumeru, my desert is already one hundred percent closed. In general, I this task that I went through, whether I reached the end I'm not sure, but I definitely met Rana. So, even so, in my Forest Adventures Journal, for some reason, I have a quest called “1. Meeting in the Forest” is missing, for “2. Dream Nursery" and "5. Vimana Agama" for some reason are fulfilled. I don’t know what this is connected with, but it interferes with the age of the Mysterious Album, because you need to the test quests.

You need to talk to Alfonso (the young man in point 6), he will turn out to be Fatui, you will need to fight him, “keeping Rana’s promise,” you will be given 20 gems and an achievement, and after that the task will be considered completed in the Aranar book. For a long time I also couldn’t figure out how to do it. I decided to go through all the points. After the fight with Alfonso the task was completed
