How Ancient Ruins Puzzles Work
Use the power of the Adepts, which was bestowed by Fu Jin, and restore the remains of the ancient civilization. Click "T" button or on the icon in lower left corner, when the point turns yellow, to pick up the fragment from the ground.
You can move freely with them within the ruins. But if you leave the area or pick up a second object, the first one will automatically return to its original place.
Install parts of structures on small squares, highlighted in green. It is necessary to put together the overall picture and arrange the details so that they coincide in appearance and direction with the overall building. The arch should not look in the opposite direction from the column holding it.
Hold "E" key or the icon below, aiming at the pedestal - when you release, the piece will fall into the selected place. The object can be picked up again if it needs to be moved to another platform, but after completing the puzzle you won't be able to move them.
How to Solve Puzzles with Chenyu Valley Ancient Ruins in Genshin Impact
In total in the Chenyu Valley you can find 7 riddles with ancient ruins. Complete the quest before solving puzzles "Sacred Mountains, Qiaoying Village"to gain Adept powers.
Ancient ruins 1
The first puzzle, next to which a couple of hilichurls have settled, is located next to the teleport on Mingyuan Mountain - go down south to the large debris. Defeat your opponents first, otherwise they will interfere with your progress.
Take the arch piece lying on the hill and place it in one of the two squares as shown in the screenshots above. Be sure to stand next to the hole, then the part will stand in the right direction - with a bend towards the second green platform.
Go down the stairs in the center of the building to reach the broken pillar and place it next to the arch. The third highlighted dot, located on the left, will not be needed to solve the puzzle, since there is no other piece nearby.
If everything was done correctly, then a mechanism should appear. Activate it and perform the Carassius Auratus Chapter Jump. Then use the water pearls and get to the Jade Ring, inside of which there is a chest. In the same place, you can explore the yellow dot and begin completing an easy time trial with the Carassius Auratus Chapter Jump.
Ancient ruins 2
The next puzzle is located near the Chizhang Wall, near the fast travel point. First, deal with the local treasure thieves so that they do not interfere with the age.
Pick up a piece of the column and place it on the platform nearby - after which the gate will open, behind which the next part of the ruins is hidden.
Take the next part, it must be placed opposite the stairs. Then go back behind the first pillar and place it higher to unlock a new age on the left.
Destroy the blockage of stones in the opened hall and take the arch, which must be taken to the high steps leading to the pavilion.
Next, remove and place the last two pieces in new places: the pillar with the cap is lower, the heavily damaged one is higher. Enter the pavilion and examine the yellow dot to obtain the quest item Fragrant tree "Huangqing" and unlock the chest.
Ancient ruins 3
The last ruins, also occupied by treasure thieves, can be found east of the Yaode Valley. Here, to complete the test, the fence around the tea table will have to be partially restored.
Lift the column and place it on the nearest square, exactly in the corner of the fence. If you miss and the piece ends up on the next platform, closer to the dilapidated arch, you can take it again with the power of the Adepts and change the location.
Take a piece of the collapsed wall and place it against the same pillar.
Be sure to stand behind the tree while placing it so that the part is in the desired direction, that is, the volumetric part is towards the corner, and the collapsed part is towards the arch.
Take the last piece and place it on the platform nearby. Then you can open the last chest and complete the puzzles associated with the restoration of ancient ruins in the Chenyu Valley.
Ancient ruins 4
Teleport to the Chizhang Wall and go a little east to the nearby hill. This time we have to restore the walls and find the missing miasm, only then can you unlock precious chest.
To begin, take one of the parts of the ruins and place it on the square on the left so that the side that is better preserved is adjacent to the pillar.
Now do the same with the second piece, but before installing it, stand on the protruding bridge. Otherwise, the part will be turned the other way and will not fit the column.
Go down to the stone statue of an owl, standing a little further away and surrounded by several hilichurls, and also with the help of forces of the Adepts take her with you.
Return to the place where you installed the wall pieces and place the sacred simulacrum to the third platform in the middle — the mechanics work, as does the staging of ruins. The rescued one will offer to build a strong defense and fight with opponents.
Defeat several hilichurls and a lavachurl with thunder helmets, then look towards the chest - a small clot of gas should appear next to it. Apply to it the power of the Adepts, to clear the space of miasma and complete the test.
Ancient ruins 5
Head to the Statue of the Seven Archons near the Chizhang Wall and head south to find another ruin. Before solving the puzzle itself, you will have to defeat the local clock ruins.
Now pat and kick the ruin hunter, then the mechanism will come to life - defeat it to unlock the grate and get the first piece from there. As a nice bonus, in the same pit you will find a regular chest.
Place the resulting fragment on the second tier of the stairs leading to the still closed treasury.
Return to the battlefield and pick up the next large pillar lying in the puddle opposite. Place it behind the incense burner, repeating the outlines of the once strong building.
From the chest, go down several tiers below, to a speed test, next to which there will be the last part of the structure. It is covered with bars, but there is a hole in the wall on the left - you can easily get the part through it. After this, the gate will open, you can go through it.
Place the missing puzzle at the foot of the stairs, then the building will be considered restored. Go up to the pavilion and examine the yellow dot by the incense burner to get Chizhang Fragrant Tree and unlock precious chest.
Ancient ruins 6
The next puzzle is located on Lingmeng Mountain, on the eastern slope leading to the very top. To complete the puzzle, help the teacher conduct classes and restore the blocking arch.
Pull out the large column on the left and move it closer to the stone bench, standing with your back to the chestto replicate the appearance of the structure. If you make a mistake with the direction, the sacred simulacrum nearby will tell you that the arch is crooked.
Take the stone owl and help it get back to its studies - place it on the bench in front of the second statue. If nothing happens, then try to put it more evenly - then rich chest should be unlocked, and the simulacrum will be glad that now they will not be blown away by the wind.
Ancient ruins 7
The last ruins can be found in the northwest of Qiaoying Village. First, help the sacred simulacrum and save it from the barbarity of treasure thieves.
If you pick up an owl sitting on a bench, you will get a small hint - he is eager to get rid of prison and wants to stand on the left side of the altar to fight evil.
Do his will and place him on the platform on the left, then he will reveal even more details - perhaps the stone arch will attract demonic creatures.
Bring back the second owl willing to stand on the right side, onto the adjacent pedestal and begin restoring the sanctuary itself.
He will also warn that something is attracting monsters here.
Lift the first part of the structure and place it on the platform on the right, forming a future arch.
Then place the last puzzle piece on the remaining green square to complete the design.
At the same time you will earn an achievement "Returning to former greatness" and summon monsters that will appear in three waves:
- a pair of regular hilichurls;
- two mitachurls;
- Lavachurl with a thunder helmet, trapped in the storm.
When you defeat all opponents, a luxury chest.
