How to get Xiangling in Genshin Impact

In the standard banner, Xiangling can always drop, and the event banner with her takes place in the second half updates 4.2: from 28 November by 18 December 2023. If you complete the Abyss after receiving it from the banner, you will unlock constellation power-ups. All constellations are unlocked by obtaining character duplicates.
For the schedule of the release of new characters and reruns, follow timetable banners.
Characteristics: what increases with elevation
When Xiangling ascends, the indicator increases protection. In the table you can find out the exact value of the stats at each level.

Abilities
All Xiangling's skills are aimed at inflicting Pyro damage. A very important aspect of the character that sets her apart from other heroes is the ability to deal damage without being on the field. It does not need to be kept active by the character, it is enough to use an elemental skill and an elemental explosion and you can switch to allies. All this, combined with high damage, makes Xiangling one of the best sub-dps, especially for playing through Vapor and Melt reactions.
Next, we will talk about all the abilities of Xiangling and their features, how to activate them for the greatest damage and in what order to pump. We will also tell you about the best constellations of Xiangling and her ive talents.
Basic skills (active skills)
- kung dough (normal/charged attack)
Inflicts up to 5 javelins with a normal attack.
A charged attack performs a lunge that damages enemies in a path that costs a certain amount of stamina.
When attacking while falling, deals damage to all enemies in the path and in a small radius upon landing.
- Goba Attack (elemental skill)
Cooldown: 12 sec.
Summons a panda named Goba, who breathes fire for 7 seconds, dealing Pyro damage 4 times to the enemy. The target is chosen randomly.
After the end of the skill, a pepper remains in place of Goba, buffing by 10% the attack power of the character who picks it up. The boost lasts for 10 seconds.
A good skill for extra damage, energy pumping and buff, but it is not the basis of the character's damage.
- Firestorm (Elemental Blast)
Duration: 10 seconds (+4 seconds on C4).
Cooldown: 20 sec.
Cost: 80 energy.
Launches three whirlwinds of fire that circle the active character and deal damage to all enemies hit. This skill is Xiangling's key ability, so it's important that she use it as often as possible. Elemental Explosion can both impose a Pyro status on enemies, and close the reaction thanks to its mechanics. Among the shortcomings, one can single out the binding to the melee combat style: whirlwinds must touch opponents, it will not work in a team with long-range characters.
The order of pumping
Xiangling uses two abilities to deal damage: Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill. Ulta in any circumstances is stronger than E-shki, so the priority is always on it.
Thus, the order of pumping Xiangling skills looks like this:
- If you use Xiangling as a sub-dd, then only upgrade the elemental skill and elemental explosion to level 8-9. In this case, it is not worth spending money on auto attacks.
- Between Goba's coronation and ult, choose ult.
- Only upgrade auto attacks if you want to play her as a main-dd through c6 Bennett.
ive skills
Talent | When does it open | What gives |
---|---|---|
People's choice | Base | Has a 12% chance to cook an additional meal when cooking the Perfect Attack Power Up Meal. |
Crossfire | 2nd Ascension Phase | Goba's fire breath distance is increased by 20%. |
Sharpness!!! | 4nd Ascension Phase | After the end of the Goba Attack skill, pepper remains at the place of its disappearance. This pepper increases attack power by 10% for 10 seconds. Increases the attack power of only the character who picked up the pepper. |
Constellations
Key constellations for Xiangling - С1, С4 и С6.
- C4 greatly extends the duration of the elemental explosion, which increases damage and makes the game more comfortable.
- C1 and C6 are aimed at increasing the damage of Elemental Pyro characters. It's not as strong as C4, but still a nice boost. These constellations are revealed to the maximum in teams where there are many heroes of the Pyro element, since it is not Xiangling's own damage that buffs, but the Pyro damage of the characters as a whole.
Despite the fact that C2, as it may seem at first glance, opens up the possibility of gameplay through auto-attacks, in reality this constant is practically useless.
number | Name | Materials |
---|---|---|
1 | Appearances are deceptive | Goba attack hits lower pyro resistance enemies by 15% for 6 sec. Increases own damage, as well as damage of allies with the Pyro element. |
2 | Oil on fire | The last hit of a normal attack inflicts the Combustion status on the enemy for 2 seconds. After this time expires, an explosion occurs that deals Pyro AoE damage equal to 75% of Xiangling's attack power. |
3 | Frying in oil | Increases the skill level of Fire Whirl by 3. Max. Lvl: 15 |
4 | On a small fire | Increases the duration of the Fire Whirl skill by 40%. Elemental Burst lasts 4 seconds longer. |
5 | Goba angry | Increases Goba Attack by 3. Max. Lvl: 15 |
6 | Empowered Firestorm | All party receive a 15% bonus Pyro Damage while Flamer is active. Increases damage to yourself and other Pyro characters. |
Advantages and disadvantages
Xiangling is a very versatile hero who is easy to get and put in many squads, but she is not without her subtleties. Below we consider her strengths and weaknesses, which must be taken into before you start ing the heroine.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
The heroine can be obtained for free, upon reaching the 20th Abyss | Requires a lot of investment in your stats: balance of crits, energy recovery, attack power and often elemental mastery; |
A very powerful and convenient explosion of elements, which can both impose a Pyro status for a main-dd, and act as the basis of the group's damage. | It has a high cost of the ultimate, as well as the need for an attack buffer. Therefore, her best partner is Bennet - he significantly increases her damage, but also binds her to him. |
A small but nice buff to allies on attack power. | |
High attack speed. Combined with Pyro infusion via C6 Bennett Xiangling can become main-dd. | |
Very useful constants that enhance it from a variety of sides. |
The heroine easily fits into most groups at both low and high adventure ranks. Xiangling is able to both facilitate the age of content for beginners, and help old players with the formation of a strong squad.
Leveling
To fully reveal the potential of the character, it is necessary to pump it. Let's take a closer look at what Xiangling needs to level up, raise levels and talents.
Elevation
To raise Xiangling to the maximum level, the following resources are required:
- Fragments, shards, pieces and gems wolf lord.
- sky-high pepper is a curiosity of Li Yue, which can also be bought in grocery stores.
- Flaming Seed - Boss Kill Resource pyro orchid.
- Slime - kill reward slimes.
- 420.000 hero experience.
Talents
To pump all the talents of Xiangling, the following resources are needed:
- Books about «diligence» can be obtained in the dungeon Taishanfu on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
- Dwalin's Claw - Weekly Boss Material Dvalina.
- Slime - kill reward slimes.
- Crown of Insight needed to increase talents to level 10.
- 1.653.000 pestilence.
You can calculate the amount of missing materials using Genshin Impact Calculator.
Best builds for Xiangling
Xiangling's builds vary greatly, despite the fact that she can only play one role in a team - a pocket damage dealer. Due to her ability to inflict a Pyro status, close reactions and deal massive damage, the heroine is highly sought after, but not every build of Xiangling will perform equally well in all situations.
Recommended characteristic values
The principle of selecting artifacts for Xiangling comes from which team and which heroes she plays with.
- If Xiangling plays in a mono-elemental team of Pyro Heroes, then she does not need elemental mastery, since she has nothing to react with, and this stat only increases the damage of reactions of different elements with each other.
- Elemental mastery in watches is taken if the weapon already has this stat, and Xiangling, along with additional stats in artifacts, has more than 180% energy recovery. It is also important that it is Xiangling in the team who closes the reactions. An example would be a team with Tartaglia.
- In favor of attack power, the choice should be made if Xiangling has more than 180% energy, but at the same time she plays in Pyro teams.
Thus, we can make a brief conclusion: mastery of the elements is relevant only in teams where it acts as a reactor, and the attack power and recovery need to be balanced.
Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
---|---|---|
HP (permanent) | Attack Power % Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Elemental Mastery |
|
Attack Power (Permanent) | Attack Power % Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Elemental Mastery |
|
Energy Recovery % Elemental Mastery % Attack Power % |
Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % Elemental Mastery |
|
Bonus Pyro Damage % | Crete. damage Crit chance. hits Energy Recovery % Elemental Mastery |
|
Crete. damage / crit chance hits | Crete. damage / Crit Chance. hits Energy Recovery % Elemental Mastery Attack Power % |
Approximate performance indicators will look like this:
- ATK: 1500-1700 units Due to her ascendant personal stat (Elemental Mastery) and the strong need for high energy regen, she rarely has a high attack stat. It is advisable to compensate for this by using Bennet in the squad or another buffer.
- Chance of crit and crit. damage: it is worth striving for a ratio of 1: 2 (for example, 60 ksh and 120 ku). Higher stats will greatly increase the damage, but it's important not to forget about other stats.
- Elemental Mastery: 250-350 pts if Xiangling is on the reaction team. If the rest of Pyro's allies, then this stat should be neglected, since it will not bring any benefit.
- Raiden. If she is the only Pyro hero, you need a minimum of 240%.
Best weapon
Choose a weapon for Xiangling based on the stats of the artifacts and the team. Look at the missing parameter: take a spear for energy restoration if it is not enough, or for elemental mastery. Weapons should complement the Xiangling build, finally balancing its characteristics.
If you want to maximize damage and give Xiangling the legendary weapon, then choose from the following options:
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack: 46 ~ 608 Restore energy: 12% ~ 55,1% |
Increases attack power by 28%~56% of energy recovery rate over 100%. You can get an attack power bonus up to 80%~120%. Also gives 30%~50% restore energy for 12 sec. after activating the elemental explosion. | The strongest spear for Xiangling, as it gives her all the necessary stats and will suit all squads where she is used. It will show itself especially well in teams without an attack buffer. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 46-608 Critical Damage: 14,4% -66,2%. |
Increases HP by 20-40%. Also grants an attack bonus equal to 0,8-1,6% from max. The HP of the character equipped with this weapon. When a hero's health drops below 50%, their attack power is additionally increased by 1-1,8% from his max. HP. | A very good spear, but does not grant elemental mastery or energy regeneration. Better suited for Pyro-mono-elemental units where there is no need for an MS stat. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-542 Critical Hit Chance: 9.6%-44.1% |
Increases the attack bonus of the character equipped with this weapon by 52-104% from his mastery of the elements. Hitting an enemy with an elemental skill for 10 sec. bestows the Dream of Crimson Sands: The attack bonus of a character equipped with this weapon is increased by 28-56% from the mastery of the elements. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | One of the strongest options when playing in teams from the Steam or Melt reaction. In artifacts, you need to look for as much energy recovery as possible so that there is a comfortable balance of stats. |
Skyward Spine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 48 ~ 674 Restore energy: 8% ~ 36,8% |
Increases crit chance. hit by 8%~16% and normal attack speed by 12%. When hit by a normal or charged attack, there is a 50% chance to activate an intangible blade that deals 40%~100% damage in a small radius. Can occur every 2 sec. | A good legendary variant from the standard banner. Significantly increases attack, gives energy recovery and some crit. chance. Can be used both in teams from elemental reactions and mono-elemental squads. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack: 49 ~ 741 ATK: 3,6% ~ 16,5% |
Grants 12% bonus damage from all elements. Launching an elemental skill grants Enhance for 20 seconds, increasing attack power by 3,2% per second. Can stack up to 6 times. When a character equipped with this weapon is not on the battlefield, the attack bonus from Enhancement is doubled. | The spear gives a lot of attack and a bonus to elemental damage. However, against the background of other legendaries, it looks worse, as it loses to them either in damage or in comfort of use. |
Also among the weapons for Xiangling there are many worthy options among epic copies:
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
Catch ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 42 ~ 510 Restore energy: 10% ~ 45,9% |
Increases elemental explosion damage 16%~32%, and its crit chance. hits - on 6%~12%. | Free analogue of Harvest. Even though it's a 4*, the weapon greatly enhances Xiangling's damage output and suits her perfectly. In addition, it is easy to get, as it is obtained from fishing. |
wave cutting fin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 45 ~ 620 Attack Power: 3% ~ 13,8% |
The elemental explosion damage of the character equipped with this weapon is increased by 0,12%~0,24% for each unit of the total amount of energy of all of the squad. Damage bonus cannot exceed 40%~80%. | On awakenings (starting from T4 +) it is able to compete in damage even with legendary weapons. But he has the same problem as the Pain Relief: complicated stat balance. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic Attack 42-510 Critical Hit Chance 6,0-27,6% |
If there are at least 3 characters of different elements in the squad, elemental mastery increases by 120-240 units. | A very good option for playing through Steam or Melt reactions. The presence of Bennett is allowed, since the condition requires a minimum of 3 heroes, and not all 4. When using this weapon, it is advisable to gain more energy recovery in the stats. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 41-454 Critical Hit Chance: 8%-36,8% |
If there are 2 or more enemies nearby, then the attack power and defense are increased by 16-32%; if there are less than 2 enemies nearby, then the attack power is increased by 24-48%. | A good option for lighter stat balance, but needs to rack up a lot of energy recovery in artifacts. |
Miner drill ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-565 Attack Power: 6,0-27,6% |
When an equipped character heals or receives treatment, he will be healed for 30 seconds. is endowed with the Mark of Unity. You can get up to 3 Marks in total. When an elemental skill or elemental explosion is activated, all Marks are consumed for 10 sec. the effect of Resistance is created: for each Mark spent, the attack power increases by 3-7%, and the damage bonus with all elements is by 7-13%. The Repulse effect can occur once every 15 sec. The character receives Marks of Unity even if he is not on the battlefield. | A powerful spear that works in any team that has a healer. The ive gives a noticeable increase in attack power and the Pyro damage bonus, activated through the use of an elemental skill or superpower. Keep in mind that the ultimate has a snapshot mechanic (characteristics are recorded at the moment of activation), so use the skill first, and then an explosion of elements with all the enhancements. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 42-510 Attack Power: 9%-41,4% |
Within 10 sec. after activating the elemental reaction, the attack power will increase by 12-24%, mastery of the elements - on 48-96 units. | A good weapon in teams where there are Hydro heroes, but in mono-elemental squads it will be quite weak. In addition, due to the lack of energy restoration in the substat of the weapon, it will have to be recruited from artifacts. |
Storm of dragons ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 41 ~ 454 Elemental Mastery: 48 ~ 221 |
Increases damage by 20%~36% against enemies affected by Hydro or Pyro elements. | A very strong spear for teams where Xiangling ults on the Hydro element. On awakenings, it compares to some legendaries, but requires a condition to be met. Does not work in roasts and teams where Xiangling provides Pyro with status for another character. |
Spear of Favonia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44 ~ 565 Restore energy: 6,7% ~ 30,6% |
Critical attacks have a 60~100 chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 damage. energy. Occurs once every 12~6 seconds. | The best choice for teams where Xiangling plays without Bennett. The highest base among 4 * weapons, energy recovery and the ability to generate balls of energy. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44–565 Elemental Mastery: 24–110 |
Elemental skill damage is increased by 6-12%. Successfully attacking an enemy with an E-tail will lose 3 energy, but restore 3-5 energy every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. The effect does not trigger more than once every 10 seconds, even when the character is not on the field. | In its effect, it is similar to the previous spear, only it is not bound to the element and is inferior to it in damage. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Basic attack: 44-565 Energy recovery 6,6-30,6% |
When activating an elemental skill, increases attack power by 10 sec. 20-40% and movement speed by 10%. | The spear has a nice buff to attack power and movement speed. It is important to to drop Goba just before activating the ult, and not after, to get the maximum buff. |
Best Artifacts
Among the artifacts for Xiangling, there is not much variety, since there are no sets that are equivalent to each other. Try to get a full set of the Emblem, it gives significantly more damage to Xiangling than other sets or pieces of 2 + 2. Solyanka should only be used if they are much better in crit or energy regeneration.
Name | Effects | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ |
2 parts: Increases energy recovery rate by 20%. 4 parts: Increases elemental explosion damage by an amount equal to 25% of the amount of energy regeneration. The effect can be increased to a maximum of 75%. |
The best set for Xiangling, as it enhances her main skill and gives valuable affixes in her ultimate. It is better to assemble a complete set, but at first you can also use 2 pieces if there is not enough energy. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ |
2 parts: Increases Pyro damage bonus by 15%. 4 parts: Increases the Damage of the Overload, Bloom and Burn statuses by 40%, and the damage of the Vapor and Melt statuses by 15%. Using an elemental skill increases the effects of a 50-piece set by 10% for 3 seconds. Can stack up to XNUMX times. |
Increases Pyro damage and damage from reactions with this element. A bonus of 2 pieces is great for the first time, but it’s not worth collecting a full set, there are more useful alternatives for Xiangling and better carriers of the set itself. |
2 parts: Pyro resistance: +40% 4 parts: Increases damage against enemies affected by Pyro by 35%. |
Not a bad option for Xiangling, who plays roast, but the Emblem is still better. The bonus of two pieces without a full set is useless and should not be used in addition to other sets. | |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ |
2 parts: Increases elemental explosion damage by 20%. 4 parts: Activating an elemental explosion increases the attack power of all party by 20% for 12 seconds. |
2 parts of the set increase elemental explosion damage. 4 parts is acceptable if there is no other carrier of these artifacts in the team, because Xiangling is better to focus on her own damage, and not on the buff of allies. |
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ |
2 parts: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4 parts: For 8 sec. after calling an elemental reaction according to the elements of other characters in the squad, the character equipped with these artifacts receives the following enhancements: attack power is increased by 14% for each character with the same element as the equipped character; Elemental Mastery is increased by 50. for each character with a different element. Each of these buffs counts up to 3 characters. The effect can occur once every 8 sec. Triggers even if the character equipped with these artifacts is not on the battlefield. |
It will increase attack power and elemental mastery, but will not make it easier to gain energy or increase the damage of the ult. It is better to give the kit to other damage dealers, use it on Xiangling only if there are no alternatives. |
Detachments
Xiangling is a pocket attack Pyro damage dealer. Thanks to her elements and mechanics, she can both increase the damage of other characters, creating a base for elemental reactions, and fully assume the role of the main damage dealer. Due to this flexibility, Xiangling's teams often feature both heroes of the main-dps role, as well as drivers and various s.
Best characters
Squads for Xiangling are diverse, she can play with many heroes and it is very difficult to list them all. The tables show the main characters for certain roles, which often have other counterparts with similar mechanics. They can also be used.

---|---|---|---|
The best partner for Xiangling, who will buff her on the attack and help her gain energy for her ult. To fully reveal the potential of Xiangling, it is advisable to keep them in a squad together. | |||
Can be used as an alternative to Bennett. He won't be able to buff the attack, but he will provide a shield, close the Pyro Resonance, and thanks to the Favonius Spear, he will be able to facilitate Xiangling's energy gain. | |||
Reduces Pyro resistance, can deal a strong blow with Melt or, on the contrary, depending on the squad, prepare a base for Xiangling's attacks. | |||
Gives a shield and heal. With C6 can buff Elemental Mastery. | |||

Top Teams
Below we list the best teams for Xiangling.
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
One of the strongest teams in the game and the most comfortable to play as Xiangling: the ult is always on cooldown thanks to Bennett and Raiden. Shows very decent damage, having only one legendary character in the composition. | ||||
A squad with Tartaglia and Kazuha/Sitlali, almost as good as a team with Raiden in of damage. | ||||
A budget analogue of teams with Tartaglia and Raiden, consisting entirely of epic characters. | ||||
A team with Anemo and Pyro resonance, where Xiao complements the squad rather than being a mandatory part of it. | ||||
A mono-elemental team in which all the constellations of Xiangling are fully realized. Kazuha gives a very large buff to the group, but it can be replaced with any Sucrose, Saya, or Genie. Clee is also replaceable by another Pyro dd. | ||||
Usually commands from the Overload reaction are uncomfortable, but here this disadvantage is not felt due to Venti's tie, which keeps the enemies in his ult. | ||||
An FTP variant of the Overload squad, but in this case, Sucrose needs a large amount of energy recovery and a Ceremonial Memoir weapon on high awakenings. | ||||
A team without Bennett. Decent damage is provided by the attack buff from Kokomi, damage from three elements at once, and elemental reactions enhanced by Sucrose. In this unit Xiangling it is desirable to carry the spear of Favonius and have at least 230% energy recovery | ||||
A command in which Xiangling does not close the reaction, but rather provides the Pyro status for Melting from Ganyu. A very good option if Xiangling is poorly pumped and Ganyu is on the . Ayaka can also be used instead. | ||||
Another version of the squad without Bennet, where Xiangling does not so much damage herself, but rather provides Pyro status for Kandakia. | ||||
Budget version of the team from the Melting reaction with two resonances: Pyro and Cryo. | ||||
The squad in which Heizo spends most of his time on the field and serves as a link for allied attacks. | ||||
In this team, Xiangling can successfully play without Bennet, as she has attack power in hours. Raiden will provide energy, and Albedo will provide mastery of the elements. | ||||
Team from the reaction of Par with Mizuki. Furina provides Hydro with status and quickly gains stacks of Fanfare, Bennet is needed for Xiangling and closing Pyro Resonance. | ||||
Command from Bloom, Burn and Vapor reaction at the same time. Tartaglia deals damage while in an active position, Nahida and Xiangling damage with an elemental skill and an elemental explosion. Bennet heals and enhances. | ||||
Team from Burning. Bennet in this team can be equipped with offensive stats, since Bai Zhu will already provide healing. Xiangling and Nahida deal damage, and it is better to choose Dendro Archon as an active hero. |
It is worth noting the small number of Electro characters in the table, this is due to the fact that the Overload reaction repels enemies, and Xiangling's ult requires a close distance from them. Because of this, such gameplay is uncomfortable: you need to constantly run after them or control them with the ults of Anemo characters.
How to play Xiangling
It is important to press her elemental burst on cooldown, as it is in it that a significant part of her damage is concentrated. Before that, you need to get all possible buffs from allies: the ult is a “snapshot” in of mechanics, that is, it re the stats by which damage is calculated at the moment the skill is activated. After that, you can switch to the main DD, which will close the reaction on Pyro status from Xiangling, or vice versa, he will provide Hydro or Cryo status for more damage to her ult.
Rotation
Xiangling's rotation looks like this:
- Activate all possible buffs to attack and elemental mastery. Most of the time it's an ult.Freedom-Sworn.
- Switch to Xiangling, use the elemental skill and after it activate the ult. Please note that the buffs will not work immediately, only from the 3rd turn, Xiangling's elemental explosion will begin to strike at full strength.
- Deal damage as the main damage dealer. until Xiangling's ult ends.
- Collect energy for the next activation. To do this, use the weapons of Favonius and other Pyro characters, creating Pyro spheres with elemental skills. Catch them for Xiangling.
- If there was already enough energy, then the last paragraph can be skipped. Reactivate all buffs by repeating the cycle with paragraph 1.
Сonclusion
Xiangling is a great sub-DD that is useful at any stage of the game. She is easy to get and will fit into many teams, often not only complementing them, but being the core of the squad and dealing a huge amount of damage. Even after upgrading the legendary heroes, it will not become useless, because no other character can offer such mechanics yet.
