Gulp and Spaw in Underdark. When meeting mushroom-like creatures, one has to make a choice between a renegade and a new leader, deciding whom to and keep in power. It is possible to take the side of both one and the other, or not fall into the myconid colony at all, which will lead to certain consequences.

How to start the quest "Avenge the Circle of the Glot"
The choice between Spav and Glot occurs in a separate quest for the apostate myconid. In order to be able to make a decision and to open the quest "Avenge the Glot Circle", there are several requirements that can be completed in any order:
- Talk to Spav once.
- Defeat the doorgars at the lake.
In the myconid colony, you will encounter both leaders in the north Underdark:
- swallow, deposed monarch, is on the western side of the road in the colony (X: 59; Y: -112).
- spav, the current leader, stands on the edge of the site in the center of the location (X: 78; Y: -107).
After talking with Spav, you will receive the task from him "Defeat the Dvergar Invaders". You can lie about defeating the dark dwarves, but you still have to kill them for the quest with the renegade.
How to defeat doorgars
Dvergar invaders are located southwest of the myconid colony on the shore Ebenozera. The key one, Geh Sooty, in the dialogue gives the task "Find the missing boots."
If you immediately take Gloth into the team, then it is important to keep him at screen distance from the doorgars, since when the myconid approaches, they will immediately become hostile. In a battle with dark dwarves, it is advantageous to push enemies from a cliff to the shore:
- Chief slave hunter, Geh Ember, capable of lifting corpses (4 counts).

Completing the Defeat the Dvergar Invaders quest unlocks a treasure chest containing:

Spav or Gulp in Baldur's Gate 3: Consequences of Choice
The consequences of choosing to the Myconid Monarchs will affect character relationships, treasures obtained, titles, and several quests. After killing the doorgars, Gloth will become stronger, acquire new abilities and offer to kill Spav:
- "Why not. Spav's time is up" will allow Gloth to be taken back to the camp (approves: Wyll).

Should Glot be helped?

What happens if you kill Spava
There are several ways to kill Spav (disapproves of: Wyll)
- Together with Glot this is the easiest and most correct thing to do, but keep in mind that myconids ing by will temporarily become hostile.
- You can kill the lord by oneself, then after Glot will come by himself and become the new ruler. During combat, similarly, nearby myconids will launch an attack.
- Don't stand up to fight push Falling off a cliff, because if successful, all the myconids in the camp will aggro.
Once again a leader, Glot will give the character the title of Confidant of the Sovereign and gloves of the green rarity "Winter's Grasp" with the effect of "Crust of Ice" on the disadvantage on agility tests, on failure of which the creature receives 1-4 points. cold damage and is frozen, otherwise it takes half damage.

Should I help Spav?
If you decide to help Spav and refuse to kill him, you will have to fight Gloth on the shore after the battle with the doorgars. An alternative option is to lie to Glot and return with him to the camp, after which:
- Leave the hermit in the colony and don't touch it again.
- Come with him to Spav, declare Glot's betrayal and attack the villain along with the myconids.
The option with the help of the peaceful lord of myconids will do kind characters and eliminate the possibility of bugs, due to which you can lose treasures and tasks. For killing doorgar invaders, Spav will bestow the title of Peacekeeper.
What happens if you kill Glot
After visiting the dead dwarves, Gloth evolves, gaining a couple of new skills, among which there is a poisonous mist with high damage and area effects. When you kill the past Myconid Monarch, his quest will be completed. From the corpse of Glot you can pick up:
- Humanoid Paralysis and Blurring scrolls.
- Thieves' Delight ×2.

Return to Spav and report back, after which he will reward you with new the title of Single Chaser. What are titles from myconid lords for?
Each time you receive a new title from one of the myconid lords, the Bliss Spores effect will be applied to your character, with a +1d6 bonus to attack rolls, ability checks, and trials. The buff is one-time, for one hero and disappears after a long rest.

I had a bug with this quest, I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere yet: after clearing the lake, she agreed to help Grot, then brought him to Spav. I rebooted several times so that during a conversation with Spav, Grot would get into the conversation and then it would be possible to expose him. And this happened randomly: a couple of times, when Grotto stood close to each other, there was still no response from him.
But then something incomprehensible happens: a battle begins, in which, after killing Grot, all the myconids attack me. Rebooting doesn't help.
I tried to kill Grot myself - nothing fell from him, and there was no line to tell Spav about the traitor.

If they cleaned the lake without Glot, then you can bring him to where the dialogue should take place, after which you need to play along with him and take him to Spav - at least there were no problems in this sequence. Due to new patches, something may break and old errors may even reappear, unfortunately, and these have been around since the pre-release version of the game.
You may have visited Grimforge previously, which may be causing the bug.
It helped someone to return to the beach, take the dwarf’s corpse and, invisibility, approach Glot from behind with it, and then talk to him. It helped another person to first skip all the lines of both Glot and Spav, after which he was able to betray Glot in a dialogue with Spav without any problems.

If the answer option is buggy, then try talking to Glot again before Spav. In the dialogue, refuse him to kill Spav and then quickly talk to the good myconid leader before Glot has time to move away.
Also, the replica may be missing if Glot was not shown the corpses of the Dvergar on the shore and his task related to this was ignored.
An alternative is to simply dispose of the Glot somewhere outside the myconid camp.
