Guardian of the Shores in Wuthering Waves: Guide & Build

A guide to creating the best build for the Guardian of the Shores, a researcher of the Lament and the leader of the mysterious organization “Black Shores”.

Guardian of the Shores in Wuthering Waves — a five-star Spectro character who wields the Rectifier as a weapon. The girl is the best , providing the team with a ton of healing and a variety of buffs, both offensive (increasing damage, critical damage, and critical hit chance) and defensive (healing and knockdown protection).

However, the Guardian is very demanding in of stats, because emergency healing depletes her own health indicator, and increasing critical damage and critical chance directly depends on her energy recovery. Therefore, the priority stats when choosing an echo and weapon should be HP and energy recovery, respectively. In this guide, we will tell you everything that the Guardian of the Shores needs, including the best weapons, Echo, stats and materials for pumping.

Guardian of the Shores abilities

The Guardian of the Shores is a versatile unit that increases the critical damage of any ally in her Resonant Release and also heals them. However, to fully utilize her ultimate, players will need to constantly switch between characters and use their Intro skills, but it is worth it, as the usefulness and power of the Guardian of the Shores’ buffs cannot be overstated. Keep in mind that critical buffs reduce her energy regeneration, so a lot of VE is needed to maximize the buffs she provides.

Active abilities

Basic and Heavy Attack, Air Attack, Counter Attack [Origin Calculus]

  • Basic Attack - Performs up to 4 consecutive attacks. When the attack hits a target, it generates one Collapsed Core. After 6 seconds, these cores turn into Dim Star Butterflies, which home in on enemies and attack them, dealing Specter damage. If there are already 5 Collapsed Cores on the field, the Guardian's next normal attack will instantly turn the core into Flare Star Butterflies.
  • Heavy Attack — There are two variations, depending on whether the Resonance Gauge of the Coast Guard is charged or not. 1: If the Resonance Gauge is not charged, the Coast Guard will enter Unbound Form with a long attack. In this form, she will transform into a butterfly and accumulate segments in the Resonance Gauge as her stamina is consumed, and will automatically gather all the plants around her. To end this form, you must perform a normal attack or use up all your stamina. 2: If the Resonance Gauge is charged, all generated Shattered Cores will instantly turn into Star Butterfly Flashes.
  • Mid-air Attack - Whenever a falling attack hits a target, the Guardian also generates one Shattered Core, which will also eventually turn into a butterfly.
  • Counterattack [Dodge Counter] - Using a basic attack after a successful parry and dodge will deal Spectro's counterattack damage.
  • Forte Circuit: Astral Chord — The Guardian accumulates 5 segments of Empirical Data in the Resonance Scale. They are accumulated through normal attacks, attacks while falling, and counterattacks. One hit on an enemy is one segment.

Resonance Skill: Chaos Theory - Restores health to all squad and summons 5 Dark Butterflies that automatically track the target and attack it, dealing Specter damage. The skill can be used in the air.

Resonance Liberation: End Loop — The Guardian's ultimate is called Stellarealm and has three phases. When other characters use the Intro Skill within the Stellarealm, it will evolve into the next phase.

  • Outer Stellarealm — The Guardian restores HP to all squad once every 1 seconds.
  • Inner Stellarealm — For every 0,2% of the Guardian's VE, all characters within the Star Field gain 0,01% increased Critical Chance, up to a maximum of 12,5% Critical Chance.
  • Divine Starfield [Supernal Stellarealm] — For every 0,1% of the Guardian's VE, all characters within the Star Field gain 0,01% increased critical damage, up to a maximum of 25% critical damage.

ive skills

Inherent Skill: Life Entwined 1 - When a character other than the Guardian herself receives a fatal blow, they do not lose consciousness, but are instead healed for 50% of the Guardian's health, while the Guardian loses the same amount of health. The effect can occur once every 1 minutes.

Inherent Skill 2 [Inherent Skill: Self Gravitation] - When the active character is in the Star Field, the Guardian's energy regeneration is increased by 10%, and if Rover is on the Guardian's team, his energy regeneration will also increase by 10%.

Switching skills

Intro Skill: Proof of Existence — also has two variations, but depending on whether the Star Field is active or not.

  • If there is no Star Field or if there is one but it has not reached the final phase, the Guardian restores HP to the entire team and summons 5 Dark Butterflies. The butterflies automatically track and attack the target, dealing Specter damage. This damage is considered Resonance Skill damage.
  • If Divine Starfield is summoned, the Intro Skill name changes to Insight. After using the Intro skill Insight all team restore HP, and the Guardian herself completes the action of the ultimate, dealing гарантированный critical damage.

Outro Skill: Binary Butterfly — The Guardian summons butterflies that circle around the active character for 30 seconds, giving the following effects:

  • If the character is knocked down or thrown back, pressing the dodge button will successfully dodge and land safely on the ground. This effect can occur up to 5 times.
  • Damage of all characters in the squad is increased by 15%

Resonant circuits (consts)

Unspoken Conjecture The Star Field generated by Resonant Release receives the following improvements:
  • Star Field's range and healing properties are increased by 150%.
  • Duration of action is increased by 10 seconds.
  • Using the Intro Skill Insight no longer ends an existing Star Field
Night's Gift and Refusal Outer Starfield now increases attack power of all party by 40%
Infinity Awaits Me Using the Resonant Release skill gives the Guardian 20 Concerto energy. Can occur once every 25 seconds.
Overflowing Quietude When using Resonance Skill: Chaos Theory, the Guardian gains a 70% healing bonus.
Echoes in Silent Increases the range of the basic attack's pull effect by 50% and weakening effect by 30%.
To the New World Increases the damage ratio of the Intro Skill Insight by 42%. Using the Intro Skill Insight increases the Guardian's critical damage by 500%.

The best consts for the Keeper of the Shores are Cost-1, Cost-2, Cost-3

  • First chain Increases the duration and range of Star Field. A great buff since the Guardian's ultimate is very useful for maintaining overall team DPS.
  • Second chain Provides another significant buff in addition to Star Field, increasing the attack power of all party by 40%.
  • Third chain helps the Guardian gain Concerto energy after using Resonant Release, making subsequent Star Field upgrades with Intro Skills easier.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any other character, the Guardian of the Shores has her pros and cons.

Advantages Disadvantages
When releasing Resonance Energy, it grants all characters within the Ultimate's area of effect a solid bonus to Attack Power, Critical Damage, and Critical Hit Chance, based on her Energy Regeneration %. To maximize the increase in critical damage and critical hit chance, you need to have 250% energy recovery. If you do not have a signature weapon, you will have to look for Energy Recovery in Echo's stats, sacrificing HP, which will slightly reduce the healing potential of the Guardian.
In addition to the damage boost, the Guardian also has a unique knockdown prevention skill. In order to gain all the benefits in the field created by the Guardian, players must remain in it and “improve” it with the Intro skill. If the character leaves the Star Field area, all buffs will disappear immediately.
Her ability to switch between skills is one of the fastest in the game. Really needs a weapon that can generate Concerto energy, without it he doesn't play very well.
Can transform into a butterfly and collect all plants on the way while moving, which will make exploring the world and collecting materials much easier. Extremely low personal damage even for a character. Only opening the 6th resonance chain will help to improve the situation a little.
Has a useful ive that protects against lethal damage. To fully utilize your abilities, you must follow a strict rotation.

Skill Improvement Order

The Guardian of the Shores build has two build options.

First option

Resonant Release ≥ Resonance Skill > Intro Skill > Resonance Gauge > Basic Attack.

Looking at the Guardian of the Shores guide in more detail, it is worth separately studying the order of pumping her main abilities:

  • Resonance Liberation: End Loop - This ability will not only help your squad survive as long as possible, but will also increase its effectiveness, allowing it to deal more damage. This is especially useful if you have characters in your team whose damage is heavily dependent on the number of critical hits.
  • Resonance Skill: Chaos Theory - When used, the Guardian instantly heals all characters in the party and summons dark butterflies to help the Resonators in battle. Use this skill in combination with Resonance Release to increase the Guardian of the Shores' potential.
  • Intro Skill: Proof of Existence - Upgrading this skill increases the damage of the Guardian's Star Field explosion to always be a guaranteed critical hit, making it a worthwhile investment after mastering other important abilities.

Resonance Gauge and Basic Attack are aimed at increasing the Guardian's personal damage output, but since they both scale with her attack power, they can either be skipped or upgraded last.

The second option

Intro Skill > Resonant Release > Resonance Skill > Resonance Gauge > Basic Attack.

If you want to end fights before your team needs healing, then it is preferable to first level up the Guardian's Intro skill - its "improved" version, Insight, deals guaranteed critical damage, and also instantly heals all party . In this case, Resonant Release would be in second place, increasing the background healing she provides in the radius of the ult. In third place is Resonance Skill, to increase both the amount of healing and damage, no matter how insignificant the latter may be.

Pumping materials

To level up the Guardian of the Shores, you will need various resources.

MF Whisperin Core x12 MF Whisperin Core x28
HF Whisperin Core x12 HF Whisperin Core x40
FF Whisperin Core x4 FF Whisperin Core x57

Best Shorekeeper Build in Wuthering Waves

To properly assemble the Guardian of the Shores in WuWa, you need to properly develop her characteristics, select a weapon and a team.

Recommended value of characteristics

  • Health: 30.000+
  • Defense: 1100+
  • Energy Recovery: 250%+
  • Attack power and crit chance don't really matter because the Guardian will always deal guaranteed crit damage when using the Intro skill "Insight". If you want to increase the hit from this skill, then you can gain crit damage in the substats.

Weapon Selection

The weapons for the Guardian of the Shores should increase her healing stats and make gameplay easier.

Name Description

Stellar Symphony
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Energy recovery: 17,1-77%

Increases health by 12-24%. Using the Intro skill that heals, restores 8-16 units of Concerto energy and increases the attack power of nearby allies by 14-28% for 30 seconds. The effect can only occur once every 1 seconds and does not stack with similar effects.
Variation

Echo's Choice

Echo for Coastguard should be ive and focused on ing allies.

Echo Set Main Echo for dialing Recommendations

Rejuvenating Glow

2 parts: Healing bonus increased by 10%.
5 pieces: After healing an ally(s), all squad gain 15% attack power for 30 seconds.

Moonlit Clouds

2 parts: energy recovery speed increases by 10%.
5 parts: Using an Outro skill increases the attack power of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15 seconds.

Bell-Borne Geochelone

Effect: Using Echo in battle activates special protection, and also deals damage to Glacio in an area, depending on 91.20-145.92% of the creature's carrier's defense indicator. The main bonus is an additional protective effect that reduces incoming damage for 15 seconds due to the aforementioned protection, and also increases all outgoing damage by 10%. This bonus affects the entire squad. The recovery time of the Echo skill, in turn, is 20 seconds.

A versatile variant of Echo that provides a 10% buff effect for the entire team and a shield that blocks 50% of incoming damage for the next three hits when used. The shield does not stack if multiple characters are active. Contrary to popular belief, the outgoing damage buff effect is actually better than the ATK bonus from Fallacy of No Return, as it increases the amount of damage after all other modifiers.
Rejuvenating Glow

2 parts: Healing bonus increased by 10%.
5 pieces: After healing an ally(s), all squad gain 15% attack power for 30 seconds.

Fallacy of No Return

Effect: When quickly pressed, deals Specter damage equal to 15,86% of the Resonator's maximum health, then grants the Resonator 10% additional energy regeneration and all team 10% attack for 20 seconds. Long press activates a series of lightning strikes at the cost of stamina, each dealing Specter damage equal to 1,58% of the Resonator's maximum health.

A great alternative to Bell-Borne Geochelone, especially for the Guardian of the Shores, as it gives her 10% extra energy regen, which matches her 250% EP requirement and reduces the burden on gear, weapons, and additional stats. On top of that, the echo also gives the entire team a 10% ATK boost for 20 seconds and as a bonus, deals damage based on the owner's HP instead of ATK or defense, which should at least increase the Guardian's overall damage output a bit. Not as versatile as Bell-Borne Geochelone, but still a good alternative for those who want more flexibility in their Guardian build or are looking for additional damage output.

Moonlit Clouds

2 parts: energy recovery speed increases by 10%.
5 parts: Using an Outro skill increases the attack power of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15 seconds.

Impermanence Heron

Effect: Transforms into a creature and flies up, diving down and dealing 223.22% Havok damage. When holding the skill, you can remain in the form of a creature for a longer time and attack with flames, dealing 40.05% Havok damage for each attack. The very first attack that hits enemies restores 10 units of character energy. If the hero uses the Outro skill within the next 15 sec, the damage of the next resonator will be increased by 12% for 15 sec. Cooldown - 20 sec.

An intermediate option if you haven't yet gotten Fallacy of No Return or Bell-Borne Geochelone but can already fight bosses, Impermanence Heron provides a buff to allies and also restores the Guardian's energy due to the effect of Moonlit Clouds Sonata.

Rejuvenating Glow

2 parts: Healing bonus increased by 10%.
5 pieces: After healing an ally(s), all squad gain 15% attack power for 30 seconds.

Whiff Whaff

Effect: Activates a shockwave that launches an air flow that deals 32,10-51,36% Aero Damage and creates a Low Pressure Zone. The Low Pressure Zone continuously pulls enemies within its radius towards the center for 2 seconds, dealing 12,48-19,37% Aero Damage, the effect can stack up to 6 times.

A good choice for Echo for those just starting out and not being able to easily get Bell-Borne Geochelone. It doesn't provide any buffs and its damage is far from impressive (especially on a character that doesn't pump up attack power like the Guardian), but when combined with the Guardian's pull attack when the Resonance Gauge is full, it can be used to stall enemies and gain extra energy from it.

Recommended stats to look for in Echo's core stats:

4 cost Healing Bonus %
3 cost Energy Recovery %
3 cost Health % / Energy Regeneration %
1 cost Health %
1 cost Health %

If you want to increase the Guardian's personal damage, instead of the Healing Bonus, put Echo for Crit. damage, and in the 3 Cost slot - the Specter damage bonus to maximize the damage of the Guardian's Intro skill without sacrificing healing potential. Although it is not very practical to hit for the Guardian with your hand before the sixth resonance chain is opened, it is still a noticeable improvement.

Secondary stats that you need to unlock in Echo to get the most benefit (from most to least important):

  • Energy recovery (about 130-140%).
  • Health in %.
  • Critical damage.
  • Liberation DMG.
  • Attack Power.

Squads for the Guardian of the Shores

As a character specifically designed for a role, the Guardian of the Shores synergizes well with almost every character in the game, with the exception of those who play the same role as her.

Top Teams

The most effective units with Coastguard are:

Main-dd Sub-dd Features
Calciaro [Calcharo] Yin Lin [Yinlin]
Sanhua [Sanhua]
Jianxin [Jianxin]
Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] Calcharo is the main DPS that is used on the field to trigger Yinling's coordinated attacks. Yinling's Outro also grants the next Resonator a bonus of Electro damage and Resonant Release, further increasing Calcharo's damage output. Yinling can be swapped out for Sanhua for a Basic Attack damage buff, increasing Calcharo's damage output while in Resonant Release, or Jiangxin, a great sub DPS for someone like Calcharo whose Heavy Attack counts as Resonant Release damage and is buffed by her Outro. In all cases, the Guardian is the perfect , buffing the first two Resonators and dealing damage with her Butterflies.
Chang Lee [Changli] Zhezhi [Zhezhi] Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] The team's main DPS is Chanli. It is essential to use Resonant Release as often as possible, as it instantly fills four segments in the Resonance Gauge, allowing her to use an enhanced Heavy Attack. Zhezhi is the sub DPS, as she can enhance Chanli's Heavy Attack. As a bonus, Zhezhi can also perform coordinated attacks. Guardian of the Shores is the perfect for this team. Not only will her healing help the team survive, but her Ultimate and Outro Skill will also greatly increase Chanli's damage.
Ankor [Encore]
Chisya [Chixia]
Chang Lee [Changli] Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] A team with two DDs, but with the bonus of increased damage for Encore from Chanli's Outro skill (her damage is, if not higher, then at the same level as Encore, so they can both be considered main DDs). If there is no Encore, you can put Chisyu as a free alternative. Both girls will be healed and receive buffs from the Guardian of the Shores.
Jinxi [Jinhsi] Yin Lin [Yinlin]
Zhezhi [Zhezhi]
Mortefi [Mortefi]
Taoqi [Taoqi]
Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] This team relies on Guardian of the Shores' Resonant Release and Zhezhi/Yinling's Outro/Mortephy's Resonant Release to buff Jinxi as much as possible, increasing her critical damage and Resonance Skill damage. Dealing Specter damage with Guardian and summoning Zhezhi's Ink Spirits/Yinling/Mortephy's coordinated attacks will also help Jinxi build up Incantation, which will increase Jinxi's overall damage output. If none of the above sub-DPS are available, you can take Taoqi, whose Outro is useful for Jinxi and will also provide additional defense for the entire team.
Jiyan [Jiyan] Mortefi [Mortefi]
Rover (Spectro) [Spectro Rover]
Aalto

Yang Yang [Yangyang]
Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] This team composition focuses on increasing Jiyan's overall damage output in combat with the help of buffs from the Guardian of the Shores and Mortephy. The Guardian will buff both Jiyan and Mortephy with a crit damage bonus and the healing effect of her Star Field, while Mortephy will use her Outro skill to increase Jiyan's heavy attack damage. Instead of Mortephy, you can take Spectro Rover, as his Outro skill can slow enemies for a while + great synergy with the Guardian, who gives him 10% HE, or Aalto, who will increase Jiyan's Aero damage with his Outro skill. Yang Yang is also a good free alternative in the sub-DD spot.

Budget detachments

More accessible examples of Coast Keeper commands:

Main-dd Sub-dd Features
Lin Yang [Lingyang] Zhezhi [Zhezhi]
Sanhua [Sanhua]
Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] The main DPS is Ling Yang. Zhezhi provides him with buffs as a Glacio sub-DPS. Instead of Zhezhi, you can put Sanhua, especially due to her ability to buff Ling Yang's basic attacks with her Outro skill. In any case, Guardian of the Shores provides buffs and healing for both Glacio Resonators.
Rover Havoc [Rover Havoc] Sanhua [Sanhua] Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] Sanhua will give Rover a bonus to his ATK so he can deal maximum damage when Dark Flash is active. Guardian of the Shores is an ideal for Rover, as in addition to increasing damage for the entire team, her second ive gives Rover 10% HE when using Resonant Release.
Xiangli Yao [Xiangli Yao]  Yin Lin [Yinlin]
Chang Lee [Changli]
Jianxin [Jianxin]
Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] A team where the main DD is Xiangli Yao. The sub can be Yinling, whose Outro skill gives a bonus to Electro damage and Resonant Release, which is extremely important for Xiangli Yao, Jiangxin, who also increases the damage of Resonant Release with her Outro skill, or Changli, but she will have to spend some time on the battlefield to maximize damage. Guardian of the Shores is undoubtedly the best for Xiangli Yao, increasing attack, crit. damage and crit. chance, which is very desirable for Xiangli Yao, who already hits hard.
Danjin Mortefi [Mortefi] Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] Danjin's main source of damage is her Heavy Attack, so it's advisable to have Mortephy as one of her teammates, increasing the damage of her Heavy Attacks with her Outro Skill. The Guardian of the Shores can buff both of these Resonators while also healing Danjin with the field from her Resonant Release. One of the Guardian of the Shores' ive abilities will also provide a significant burst of healing if Danjin takes a fatal blow.
Ankor [Encore] Sanhua [Sanhua] Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] The team mainly relies on Sanhua's Outro skill, which increases the next character's base attack by 38%. This is extremely useful for characters that mainly deal damage with their base attack, such as Encor. The Guardian of the Shores will provide two Resonators with buffs and healing from her Resonance Field.
Rover Spectro [Rover spectro] Yang Yang [Yangyang] Guardian of the Shores [Shorekeeper] Beginner Team: Yang Yang transfers energy to Rover (Spectro) using his Outro skill, helps to accumulate energy and Guardian, giving Rover 10% VE from the second ive.

Guardian of the Shores: Rotation

The Guardian of the Shores in WoW specializes in healing and ing her allies. She plays a similar role to Verina and can fit into almost any team composition. Her unique aspect is that in addition to her ATK buffs, she provides a bonus to critical damage and critical hit chance, while Verina only has an attack bonus. However, unlike Verina, she must follow a strict rotation, as her buff abilities are entirely tied to Resonant Release and skill switches. This is not a bad thing, but understanding how to do it effectively and consistently is essential if you want to unlock the Guardian’s full potential.

The general rotation when playing as the Guardian of the Shores looks like this:

  1. Start the battle with Guardian of the Shores and start creating Dark Butterflies and Starburst Butterflies using her normal attacks and Resonance Skill.
  2. Activate Coast Guardian's Resonant Release, then switch to Sap DPS to activate the Intro Skill, increasing Star Field to the next phase.
  3. After filling the Concert energy bar on the sub-DD, switch to the main DD using the Intro skill and upgrade the Guardian's Star Field to the maximum phase.
  4. After charging the Concerto energy bar on the main DD, switch to the Guardian to activate her improved Intro skill and cause a guaranteed critical hit.
  5. Repeat until all enemies are defeated.

Сonclusion

To sum it up, Guardian of the Shores has a full kit with great healing properties, but she relies heavily on Concerto energy generating items like Echo and weapons with a primary energy recovery stat, especially Star Symphony (her signature weapon), without which she will feel less confident.

This can result in the team not getting enough buffs for endgame content like Tower of Tribulations in the late game, and a longer rotation for players who don't have access to any of the weapon options. However, if you can overcome these limitations, the Guardian of the Shores is one of the best allies with build flexibility in the game.

We hope this guide helped you put together the best build for the Coastguard in Wowering Waves. Read on for a detailed Wuthering Waves section.

Thanks for the guide! It turns out I missed something in the Guardian's skills)
By the way, yes, without a signal you can easily collect 250 restoration. I also got 36k HP. And a little crit (why does the heal set like to give me crits). But maybe I'm just so lucky, I don't know...

Well, I don't know, in principle I was able to collect 255 VE without a signal, and quite calmly, all you need is a 4* Variator, and a little luck with Echo. But yes, personal damage is meager, but the buffs are nice.
And the heal with "E" is not so bad with my leveling, it pulls out 4900. So a very nice character, I never regretted that I unscrewed it.
