The guide will tell you how to complete the Kaleidoscope of Lights, collect 35 fluorescent jellyfish and complete the challenges.
How to start an event
To open the Kaleidoscope of Lights event, you must first meet the following conditions:
- Reach at least 20 adventure rank.
- Open any statue of the seven Archons in Fontaine.
- Complete the quest "Dragon Freedom Song".
The event runs from on September 28 by 9 October 2023 year.
Walkthrough of Kaleidoscope of Lights
The event includes 2 small quests. One of them precedes the completion of the first stage of the event, and the second completes the entire event, telling about the ending of the story.
Cause and investigation
Travel to the area around Port Romarin to help the Kisan merchant. Listen to the conversation between Kisan and Augereau, then talk to the first one. He will share his problems with jellyfish. Agree to help Kisan in exchange for a good reward.
Prizes for completing the quest:
- 10 000 pestilence;
- 4 books adventurer experience.
Compensation
Find out how Kisan's problem was suddenly and successfully resolved. Talk to him and hear about his future plans, and also receive a touching keepsake.

Guide for Kaleidoscope of Lights in Genshin Impact
The traveler has to go 7 tests in different zones to catch each 35 jellyfish in every location. The sea creatures are easy to find under thick water thanks to their bright lilac color and slight glow. Jellyfish can either gather in groups or swim alone.
In the designated areas you will be able to take advantage of buffs that will make your age easier. There are two boosts in total:
- Turbulence rings - their action is similar to the rings that can be encountered during execution daily errands in Fontaine. These mechanisms give the active character a brief but powerful acceleration.
- Turbulent bubbles - if you swim through them, the hero will receive a temporary but smooth acceleration in speed.
If you have difficulty finding all the sea creatures, then don’t worry, because after a while the presence of jellyfish in the location will be marked with a quest icon.
Thanks to it, you can easily find missing creatures.
The tests have no time limit, but are terminated if you leave the area. Follow the location restrictions on the mini-map so you don’t accidentally reset your progress. After you find all the jellyfish, the stage will end, showing the time spent.
Event stages open gradually, each one available for completion in a specific area. Open the event menu to track the required level.
Collection area 1
To start testing in first region Travel to the Talat Underwater Valley using the nearest open teleporter. Interact with the event flag and start the timer, then jellyfish will appear to be caught.
The route runs north from the start point of the test to the next teleport. Follow straight without turning.
Having collected 8 jellyfish, you have to float higher to continue your journey. Continue swimming straight through the rings.
The thirteenth jellyfish is easy to miss as it is behind the seaweed. Collect it and head under the bridge, from where you swim straight forward until the end of the test. The challenge will not end until all 35 jellyfish have been collected.
Collection area 2
Second The stage takes place on the territory of the Salos sea plateau. Move into the zone using any open teleportation point.
As soon as you activate the test, the camera will automatically turn in the right direction. Jellyfish will appear throughout the area, but it is recommended to start collecting those near the sunken ship.
Swim straight to the ship and collect two schools of jellyfish. As soon as you catch the jellyfish at the bow of the ship, go lower. Catch four more flocks in the order shown in the photo. Don't forget to use bubbles to restore energy.
Once you reach 25 jellyfish, you can see where the remaining 10 are. Collect them and complete the challenge.
Collection area 3
The third Level of testing will take place near the site of the second. Get to the Salos sea plateau using any convenient way.
Interact with the event flag to start catching jellyfish. Head north towards the bridge, using the turbulence rings to speed up. As you progress, new rings will appear to show the way.
When the challenge counter reaches 16, swim into the gorge, keeping to the left. After the turn, follow straight ahead to collect the remaining jellyfish and receive a reward for clearing the area.
Collection area 4
The fourth the region is located on the territory of the Elton Basin. Get to the venue by any means possible. If you use the nearest teleportation point, then go up until you reach the slope. Interact with the jellyfish icon to start the challenge.
All jellyfish available for collection will immediately appear in the event area. Start catching those that are located near the remains of a sunken ship. Swim in a circle, collecting jellyfish from the slope, then float higher and collect a flock near the destroyed cart. Move away from the cart towards the start of the test.
The remaining jellyfish will wait near the slope. Catch all 35 pieces to complete the fourth stage of the event and receive rewards.
Collection area 5
Fifth part The events take place in a new territory. Use the suggested route if the area is not yet open: get to the nearby Archon statue and from there follow the destroyed communication routes. From the first teleport point you encounter, jump into the water and swim north to the underwater teleport.
The route runs along the rocks in a picturesque crevice and consists of three parts. In the first part, turbulence rings serve as landmarks, in the second - fish, in the third - turbulent bubbles. Catch the first 4 jellyfish and swim through the rings into the crevice.
From there, the route winds through seaweed, so collect fish and jellyfish to stay on course.
Swim through the remaining section using bubble clues to receive your event milestone reward.
Collection area 6
Sixth region located in the north of the Fontaine map, next to the new boss Seahorse of a thousand-year-old pearl. Swim to the challenge flag or teleport to begin.
After interacting with the jellyfish icon, 7 schools of jellyfish will immediately appear on the venue. Catch jellyfish in the order listed above. Start with the nearest school and swim higher, and after catching, turn right, then left. Loop in this manner until you reach a tall structure.
As soon as you catch the jellyfish on a hill, turn the camera to the right: you will notice the remaining ones there. Collect 35 Fluorescent Jellyfish to clear the area and receive a reward.
Collection area 7
Seventh stage runs north of the fourth region. Use the nearest open teleporter and swim to the challenge flag.
The final level route is relatively easy. There are frequent jellyfish and increased turbulence along the route, and there are no sharp turns. Follow the rings as directed and catch 35 jellyfish to complete the stage.
