The new voice of the ruler Dragon's Dogma 2 - the task of the main story, smoothly leading the plot to the denouement. As part of the quest, the Risen will have to take the “God Slayer” blade received from Rotis to Ambrosius in order to use it to recreate the Voice of the Lord. During the research, it turns out that the weapon has become unusable, and only the blood of a dragon can restore its strength.

In the guide we will tell you in detail how to deliver Ambrosia the God Slayer, what consequences this task has, and we will analyze all the ways to get a dragon crystal in Dragon's Dogma 2.

How to start the quest New Voice of the Lord in DD2

Walkthrough of the quest New Voice of the Lord in Dragon's Dogma 2

As part of the quest New Voice of the Lord, the Risen will have to meet Ambrosius again to hand over the God Slayer to him. In the future, on behalf of the man, you will need to find 15 dragon crystals.

Deliver Ambrosia the Godslayer

After receiving the blade, you will be in the vicinity of the village of Kharv. It is necessary to return to Bakbattal, where Ambrosius lives. To do this, follow the already familiar route: from the settlement, walk to Vernworth, there, head to the camp in the west, from which you can get to the Border Town. Cross borders with the help of a cart get to the capital Battalya.

Once in Bakbattal, head east along the main street. As soon as you leave the city, as you can tell by the name of the location above the map, you will notice a large temple ahead: head towards the entrance to the majestic structure, moving towards the blue light. This location may have already been visited earlier as part of a secondary quest. "Curtain of Thin Clouds".

Visit the Flame Castle and go to the altar with the blue flames. It is worth noting that pawns are not allowed inside, since the beastmen have an extremely negative attitude towards the companions of the Risen. There will be no battles in the location, so there is no need to worry. When you reach the altar, turn left and stick to the wall.

Walking forward a little, you will find an inconspicuous age on the left side. Enter the doorway and move further along the corridor until you find yourself in a huge shaft leading down.

Go down the spiral staircase, keeping to the left, and you will eventually come across a age leading deeper into the rock. It's easy to spot thanks to the torches and several NPCs that sometimes stand near the entrance.

Once in the huge hall, go forward, going around the large statue of the defeated dragon. After ing the diorama, you will come across a door with stairs on the sides - you need to enter the room in the center.

You'll end up in laboratory - workshop No. 1, where you will find Ambrosia. It will already become clear that the man is somehow connected with the false Master. A short cutscene will play, during which Ambrosius thinks about the blue crystals from the previous story quest. After this, you can examine the room: open the chest and take a fragment of the awakening crystal from the table. Then talk to the quest giver and deliver the God Slayer, moving the item to the appropriate slot.

Ambrosius will be delighted with such a find and will not ask where the Risen got it from. A little later, the man will note that it will not be possible to restore the blade without dragon crystals. Ambrosius, of course, does not have this resource. Choose an option "Let me find them for you"to move on to the next mission objective.

Get 15 Dragon Crystals

From the words of Ambrosius, it can be understood that it will be possible to obtain dragon crystals only after defeating the drakes or their relatives. Necessary talk to Luzto get advice on where to find lesser dragons. There are several methods on how to obtain this item.

Where to find dragon crystals

You can rarely find dragon crystals in the open world. One of the first and most obvious locations is the lair of the Dragonborn, where the Risen had to go as part of the quest "Vague Shadows". In the cave you can find five crystalslying near the wall.

There are several more such locations in the open world, but they are located very far from the main places of residence of the Risen. For convenience, you can use interactive map and enter a keyword into it "wyrmslife crystal".

Occasionally pawns with skill "Collector" may find crystals during their travels, but the likelihood of such an event is extremely low. There is a small chance you can purchase a key item from traveling merchants.

How to get dragon crystals from a monster

The most straightforward way to get the required resource is to kill the drake. There are several locations where these bosses spawn most often. One of them is the path from Vernworth to the village of Harv: with a certain chance a dragon may appear there. There is a small chance that the boss will occasionally attack Wernworth and Buckbattal, however this is still a random event.

This strategy is relatively simple, since the “ordinary” dragons that live throughout the map are an order of magnitude weaker than the one we’ll talk about later. Traveling around the world and completing various side quests, one way or another sometimes you will meet drakes. In contrast, there is a significant amount of time that will need to be spent on farming crystals. There is no guarantee that the desired boss will be in the location you are visiting.

Where to find a drake according to the oracle's advice

If you want not to waste extra time and are guaranteed to meet a drake - it's worth turning to the oracle.

Visit Luz, with whom you have already communicated, she is still waiting for the Risen in the Temple of Awe, located on the way from the border to Bakbattal.

Chat with the Oracle and ask her "Where is the dragon I'm looking for?". The woman will tell you about a lair that is worth going to, and a marker indicating the dragon's breath tower will appear on the map. The path to the battle site is long, and the boss battle is one of the most difficult in the game.

We strongly recommend that you prepare for battle:

  • Level up to at least 35.
  • Assemble a squad of pawns that match the Risen in level or exceed him in level. Be sure to the squad sorcerer and warrior. The first one will deal damage when the drake flies away from the arena, and the second one will act as a tank.
  • Invest in the best equipment: buy weapons that are also worth upgrading, buy a full set of armor.
  • Empty your inventory of unnecessary items that burden your character.
  • Purchase the maximum amount of medicines; both the Risen and the pawns will need them.
  • Take several awakening stones; you will have to die several times during the battle.
  • Set up a teleport in Battala so you don't have to walk to the capital.

It is best to make all the preparations in advance, set up the necessary skills and purchase a hiking backpack. Located all along the way only one resting point, which is located a stone's throw from the battle site. As you climb the mountain, you will meet a huge number of enemies.

Head southwest of Battal. Move through the desert until you find a suspension bridge that allows you to cross from the sands to the forest thicket. Next you will find one single path leading up. Follow it.

As you climb to the top, you will repeatedly encounter all kinds of opponents, most of them will have to fight goblins, local wolves, and harpies. As you follow the path, stay to the left to avoid accidentally falling off the cliff. About halfway along the path you will come across another bridge, at the other end of which there will be an enemy. Try to cross the abyss as quickly as possible and move away from the crossing so that during the battle you do not accidentally cut the ropes.

It is worth noting that at this stage of the path there is a particularly high chance of falling off a cliff, since the harpies regularly grab pawns and the Risen himself, trying to carry them away. If your companion has fallen down, just move a little further away, and your partner will teleport back to the path, after which you will be able to resurrect him.

Move further along the serpentine road, and eventually, after overcoming many enemies and traps, you will reach a small stone plateau. There you will find a fire where you can rest after a long journey, and you will also see an NPC - Sigurda. Talk to him several times to get a new one calling - Mystical spearman.

Climb the stairs towards the tower. As soon as you stand on the cliff, a short cut-scene will start, during which a lower dragon will be shown. When entering a location and playing videos, the time of day will always change to night. Sigurd will speak to the Risen, he will offer his help and announce his intention to destroy the dragon. After talking with the NPC, go to the fire and rest until morning. During daylight hours it will be easier to make your way through the ruins.

Although Sigurd offers help, he will follow the Risen, not lead him.

If the squad has a high-level pawn whose owner has already completed this task, it will automatically begin to plot a route after the “action” command. If not, follow the guide to the arena.

Cross the stone bridge to reach the ruins, then turn left and destroy the enemies. Further climb the stairs on the right side.

Once on the next floor, run forward, moving towards open space and light. Turn left, going around the column, and then go up the stairs again.

On the next floor, turn left again and go through the right archway. Move forward to another staircase, on which the Risen squad is already waiting for an ambush of many goblins.

As a result, you will find yourself on a small platform located almost at the very top of the tower. Here you can also choose one dragon crystal. As soon as you approach the stairs, from above a dragon will appear, and the time of day will change to night again.

How to kill a dragon

The Lesser Dragon is a special boss, different from all of its relatives. The monster will begin the battle by crashing into the arena and all pawns, causing significant area damage and knocking down anyone standing nearby. Because of this it is recommended run up the stairsto avoid control.

From the first second of the battle, you can notice that the creature's body is covered red growths. These ulcers are his weak points, where it is recommended to hit, if possible. Attack the boils until they explode, dealing increased damage to the drake.

Dangerous areas where you definitely don't want to be are the space under the dragon's face, as well as between its front and hind legs. It is best to stand either to the side or behind.

One of the boss's favorite attacks is acid eruption. The boss spills the poison in front of him, creating a small puddle. The skill causes damage both during casting and for some time after if you stand in liquid.

An alternative, but no less common skill is eruption of flame. The boss stops in one place, prepares for a few seconds, and then fills the entire space in front of him with flame, drawing a stream of fire from one end of the arena to the other. In this case, the easiest way is to hide behind the boss, or take cover behind a column. It is also worth considering that, in addition to damage from the skill, you will also receive damage from burning.

Losing a health bar, the lesser dragon regularly flies away from the battlefield, after which it collapses onto the platform, causing massive damage and knocking down all its opponents. If the boss is missing - go under the canopy or behind a column.

When the dragon falls, a short dialogue with Sigurd will begin. After that, examine the drake's body to pick up 15 dragon crystals. Now you can go to Ambrosius.

Give Ambrosia the dragon crystals

Completing the goal of transferring dragon crystals - point of no return. Before this, it is strongly recommended to rest in a hotel to create a special save, or put save manager. As soon as you give Ambrosius the quest item, many side quests will become unavailable. If you want to close the game 100%, it is better to save, since some of the trophies will also be blocked. As soon as you finish preparing, go to workshop No. 1. Give the man 15 crystals, some of which could have been picked up by pawns. Ambrosius will ask you to stop by the next day.

Find out if the Master's Voice is ready

You must wait one day to find out about the readiness of the Voice of the Overlord. The nearest bench is located near the camp in Bakbatalla, go there and skip the time until the next morning.

As soon as you enter the laboratory again, a cut-scene will begin. Ambrosius has restored the blade and is going to take it to Lord Faesus, not trusting the Risen with the task.

At this moment, the Guide will enter the room and subjugate the will of Ambrosius, forcing him to hand over the God Slayer to the Risen.

The ally will order you to hurry to the Moon Tower, where the Risen’s path will end. From this moment the exit to the end of the game will begin.
