How to Beat Fatui Seneschals in Genshin Impact (All Types)
Fatui Seneschals are divided into two types depending on the element they are endowed with.
Frost Operative
The Frost Operative is an elite mob referred to as "Servant: Frost Sword". In battle he fights using the Cryo element. The agent has the Bullying skill, which operates as follows: by attacking a character, the enemy inflicts the Life Debt status on him, which causes independent damage and increases the damage received from Bullying.
The frost operative has 10% resistance to all elements. The exception is the Cryo element, the resist to which is increased to 50%. In addition, the enemy has a reduced resistance to physical damage, which is -20%. Therefore, when fighting with an operative, you should avoid Cryo heroes, and a good advantage can be obtained thanks to physical damage dealers.
Wind Operative
The Wind Operator is an elite enemy known as the Servant: Lily of the Storm. In battle, damages Anemo with an element. The enemy is endowed with the Bully skill, which allows him to impose Life Debt on the attacked character. This condition deals additional damage to the hero and also makes him more vulnerable to further attacks from Bully.
The wind operative's resistance to all elements is 10%, except for the Anemo element - the resistance to it is increased and amounts to 50%. On the contrary, the enemy is more vulnerable to physical damage - resistance is reduced to -20%. In this regard, it is not recommended to take Anemo characters into the Anemo squad to fight with the enemy; heroes with greater physical damage will be much more useful.
Where to Find Fatui Seneschals in Genshin Impact (Farming Routes)
Fatui Seneschals are found in only two areas of the Hydro Kingdom – the Liffey region and the New Fontaine Research Institute. Let's take a closer look at their locations in each location.
Liffey area
In the Liffey area there is 6 points, in which it is possible to find operatives.
From the teleport at the Eastern slope of Mon Esus, follow the road to the northwest. On the way you will meet one enemy.
Leave the path and run northeast. You will find another operative on the cliff.
Return to the same teleportation point and run along the road again, but this time in the other direction. Several Fatui have accumulated near the shore, including two operatives. One enemy is standing near the cage, and the second is on an island nearby.
Teleport to Archon statue in the area and dive down from the ruins, to the northwest. Go down along the path to find one enemy.
Continue along the path and run towards the eastern slope of Mont Esus. Near the shore there is a camp set up by Fatui, in which one operative is among the opponents.
New Fontaine Research Institute
There are 4 enemies in the vicinity of the New Fontaine Research Institute, but only 2 can be found on the interactive map. We will show all the enemies.
Teleport to a point north of the Central Laboratory Ruins. From the teleport, run west, and you will soon come across the Fatui camp, which also houses one operative.
Travel to the teleporter north of the New Fontaine Research Institute. Move up the hill in a northeast direction until you spot an enemy wandering around the hill.
Travel to the teleporter to the west of the New Research Institute and head northwest towards the shore. Here you will find one seneschal.
Then follow the path towards the south, ing the rock with the teleporter, until you come across another rival.
How to get a pocket watch and seneschal constancy
Affected Fatui Seneschals of both types drop a special resource, which can be found in three variations depending on rarity:
- Seneschal's Old Pocket Watch (⭐⭐) – drops from enemies of any level;
- Seneschal's standard pocket watch (⭐⭐⭐) – drops from operatives level 40 and above;
- Seneschal's Constancy (⭐⭐⭐⭐) - Dropped by enemies level 60 and above.
In addition to varieties of rare resources, after a battle with agents you can also obtain standard materials:
- mora – from enemies of any level;
- artifacts from the “Berserk” set ⭐⭐⭐ – from opponents level 20 and above, ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – from 40 and above;
- artifacts from the “Instructor” set ⭐⭐⭐ – starting from level 20, ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – from level 40;
- artifacts from the “Healer” set ⭐⭐⭐ – from level 20 and above;
- artifacts from the “Exile” set ⭐⭐⭐ – from level 20 and above, ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – from level 40 and above.
Buying at the Paimon Store
You cannot buy resources from seneschals from any of the merchants, but once a month they can be purchased at stardust – in-game currency that is acquired for completed prayers:
- Old seneschal pocket watch – price: 5 units. stardust, 16 units available per month.
- Seneschal's regular pocket watch – price: 15 stardust, 12 units available per month.

Recraft in Alchemy
In addition, the material can be obtained in an alternative way - through alchemical workbench. From several resources of low rarity you can generate a rarer item. Use the following recipes to create the required unit of material:
- Seneschal's standard pocket watch – crafted from 3 pcs. old seneschal pocket watch and 50 mora;
- Seneschal Constancy – converts from 3 pcs. the seneschal's regular pocket watch and 125 moras.
To make the re-crafting process easier, use the following heroes:
- Dory – with a 25% chance of returning some of the spent materials;
- Sucrose – with a 10% chance of creating an additional unit of resource.
Why is the constancy of a seneschal needed?
Currently, items dropped by Fatui Seneschals are used to upgrade the following weapons:
- one-handed sword Shipyard;
- a spear Miner drill;
- signature catalyst Treasury supervision;
- two-handed Magic Super Sword of the Supreme Overlord;
