Special story mode - quest mechanics, fully added to 5.6 and transfers to a separate location with a limited map. In addition to the reduced exploration area, some actions are not available in it: at certain stages, changing the squad is closed, you cannot switch to other tasks or collect resources, there is no possibility of crafting and buying food.
In this guide we will tell you how to activate the story mode and continue the game if you interrupted it.
How to Return to Special Story Mode in Genshin Impact
In some stages of the tasks, you need to reach the entry point into the story, after which a special mode starts to operate. It is somewhat similar to when you go to the dungeon for further development of events. The new mechanics have more nuances, but the restrictions do not affect the age in any way and focus more on full immersion in the plot.
You can leave the story mode at any time, but this may affect your story progress data. When you exit, you will be warned about the risk of having to play some parts again.
Returning to a separate area is possible using the entry point: in the journal, click on the quest tracker, find the spark with a blue glow and interact with it.
Most likely, such functionality will be added in subsequent quests if it is positively received by the audience.
We hope this guide helped you learn how to use the special mode to complete missions in Genshin Impact. If you still have questions after reading this, please share them in comments.
They overdid it with this story mode in Monda. I entered the mode and saw a decorated city, etc. I completed the quest - the city was reset to default again. I entered the mode again - the city was different again. Why? The jumps ruin the atmosphere. Why not do it in the style of any event, why switch back and forth?
This is crap, I don't like this special story mode. Plus, you're half a year late with this article, this mode has already been used in Natlan. Chapter 5 of Volume 5 was pure torture because of this mode.
There has been a special story mode in some form since at least Sumeru.
