How to start the Nightwind's Letter quest
In order to open the Night Wind Letter quest, you must complete the minimum conditions for participating in the Iktomi Spirit Search Scrolls event:
- have 20 adventure rank or higher;
- Complete the Archon Prologue quests "Dragon Freedom Song".
After all requirements are met, a corresponding entry about the event that has started will appear in the events menu. Click on the button "Letter for Help" and read the note sent by Ororon to accept the quest from the archer.
Go to where Ororon is waiting and meet him at the Nightwind Lords settlement. Talk to the young man at one of the houses and listen to what happened in the village and what his plan is.
Walkthrough of the Night Wind's Letter quest in Genshin Impact
Having agreed to help Ororon in a strange matter related to the tribe's activities, meet him at a nearby cave. In order to help the young man resolve some problem, you will have to distract Sitlali by interesting her with suitable things.
Go to the place indicated by Ororon
After talking to Ororon, go down the cliff on which the house where the conversation took place stands, from the south side. Go forward along the gorge until you reach the entrance to a cave.
Enter the cave and look around.
Sitlali, who was blocking the way into the cave earlier, will not be encountered there. Leaving Ororon outside, head to the large opening in the graffiti-painted rock.

The action will launch the first puzzle of the mode. "Restoring old torn records", during which you have to place five fragments on the canvas and restore the portrait of the ancient hero. To successfully solve the riddle, follow these steps:
- First, choose the main detail of the face and place it on the field so that the neck is slightly below the hair, and a couple of strands on the right are not covered by skin.
- Next, select a lighter section of the face and place it on the darker skin so that the ears in both parts match.
- Then position the layer of clothing so that the neckline of the cape matches the location of the neck and almost completely covers it.
- Place the decoration on top of the clothes. Make sure that the strings do not go beyond the boundaries of other layers and end in the same place as the cape.
- Lastly, position the headdress so that its bottom piece is directly above the portrait's nose.
