During the quest, you will have to find out in the carpenter's workshop how things are with the figurines, and then personally find the missing figurines and return them to Voita before the people from the monastery arrive.

Ask at a carpenter's workshop

First of all it's worth it ask at a carpenter's shop about wooden figures. Once you reach the craftsmen's work area at the western entrance to the city, look for a man working with timber.

Tell the carpenter Tjisk that you have come from the artist and a few skill checks:

  • "Is that all there is to it?" - a very difficult Persuasion check.
  • “Do you even know about this order, or are you just pretending?” - average Craft check.
  • "Aren't you lying to me?" - a difficult Compulsion check.
  • "Speak, or bad things will happen!" - a difficult Intimidation check.

After talking to the carpenter, you will learn that the Virgin Mary figurine was taken by Khrudos, after which he disappeared. Now you need to find him, but first you can ask Tzhiska about the unscrupulous worker.

Find the carving

The robbers' camp is located south of Bilan. As you move along the forest road, look among the trees for a shack that needs to be explored.

You won't be able to find a carved figurine there, but you will be able to find Chrudosha chisel. It lies on the beam by the left wall. Take the item and let Barbos sniff it to track down the bandits.

The temporary camp of the bandits is located a little east of the ruined hutYou can get there with the help of Barbos, who is on your trail, or by following the path with traces of blood and scraps of clothing.

Transshipment point guarded by four fighters, who are well equipped. They will not attack the first time, but will simply drive away. It is best to visit this place at night: two bandits are patrolling, so they are easy to kill in the dark, and two more are sleeping.

Talk to Khrudosh

Can we do it first? free Khrudosh and talk to him by the road. The man will tell you why he stole the figurine and how he ended up in the camp. At the end of the conversation, you can either let the apprentice go or promise to hand him over to the bailiff. In the second case, the guy will simply try to escape.

Return to the camp, eliminate all the bandits and search their bodies. the leader nicknamed the Executioner. In his pockets you will find keys to doors and chests, which will be useful for obtaining the quest item.

There is a chest slightly to the right of the Executioner's sleeping place. Open it with the keys you just found, and you will be able to take a lot of jewelry worth a couple of thousand groschen, as well as get a statue of the Virgin Mary.

Go to the artist

To complete the quest, you need to go to the artist and start a conversation by choosing the line "I brought you the last figurine for the altar." Vojta will decide to share his worries with Henry, so him to increase your reputation:

  • "Well, that's quite natural."
  • "You're doing this for Vojta."
  • "I help everyone."
  • "You yourself said that these are not sins."
  • "Don't blame yourself. I killed him."
  • “It was not a sin, but helping one’s neighbor.”
  • "I'm here because you're my friend."
  • "The devil is not guiding you, do not be afraid."

During a short cutscene, the master will finish the painting and the voice in his head will finally disappear.

In the alternate ending, you can a Persuasion skill check by choosing the line "Then don't finish the painting. Destroy it." If successful, the work will indeed be burned by Vojta.

This concludes the storyline of the Death Strokes expansion. Regardless of Henry's choice, the artist will promise to go on a journey soon, but his shield decorating services will continue to be available.

Awards

As a reward for completing the task, you will unlock the emblem for painting "Red Skull". If you convinced the master to complete the work, you will also receive the item "The Muse of the Draftsman" - that same Vojta skull. In the ending with burning, such a reward is not due.

Later, you can revisit the grave of the real Vojta, which was sought in the quest "God disposes". Having dug up the burial, all that remains is to return the artist's skull to its rightful place, and then bury the grave back. For this, you will receive the "Skull is the Head of Everything" trophy.
