It is worth immediately opening the Statue of Anemo Archon on the Dragon Ridge, since the character next to it does not freeze, along with this, a map of the area will open and getting to the desired points from it is much faster. To do this, go to the mountain and move towards the tower, focusing on the red pillar of light emanating from it.

The statue is surrounded by strange ice, which can only be broken with scarlet quartz. Go a little southwest and break the red ore near the rock, then pick it up. Hit the ice with a normal attack with Scarlet Quartz once, and then you can interact with the tower.

Once you've completed your preparations, go to the teleport camp northeast of Dragon Ridge and talk to the adventurer Yu Xia standing next to the tent. The girl will tell you about the harsh conditions in the mountains, strong monsters and strange ice that does not melt from fire and is difficult to break.

Explore strange ice

After accepting the quest, head straight along the path to Dragon Ridge to the Snow Covered Path, where you need to examine the strange ice.

Please note that the mountain has a special effect called Severe Frost. It accumulates when the character is in a cold climate, moves through a snowstorm, or swims in bodies of water. If the scale is filled completely, the hero will begin lose HP.

There are several ways to save a frozen character and remove the frost effect. To stay warm, use the following heat sources and objects:

• Ruins candles with Pyro energy. Approach the stone pillar and activate it so that it releases a warming wave.
• Torches and fires. There are quite a lot of them in the location. There are already lit ones and those that need to be lit with the help of a character with the Pyro element.
• Teleporters and Archon Statue. Severe frost does not accumulate near them, so feel free to teleport to the nearest places and warm up.
• Warm fairies. Unique orange spirits that live only on the Dragon Ridge. While you accompany them or stand next to their garden, the character does not freeze.
• Scarlet quartz. A special ore that is best broken by heroes with two-handed weapons. Break the stone and pick it up so that the frost effect subsides a little and the character does not accumulate it for a while.

Where to find and how to use scarlet quartz

Scarlet Quartz is a red ore that helps while exploring Dragonspine. Don't confuse it with Crimson agate, which is the local analogue of the oculi.

To get Scarlet Quartz, break it with a normal attack. A character with a two-handed weapon is best suited for this purpose. When you pick up a fragment, small red fragments will begin to rotate around the hero. Scarlet quartz can be used for several purposes:

• Break prehistoric ice.
• Light a torch or fire.
• Stop the accumulation of bitter frost and stay warm.
• Strengthen a character's first attack.

However, the effect of Scarlet Quartz is temporary, approximately 30 seconds, so try to use it quickly. Some stones are restored in the same place, but sometimes quartz disposable, so first figure out where it can be applied.

Melt the first fragment

In the center of the exploration area you will find that strange ice. To melt it, you will need to find four scarlet quartz nearby and use them to attack the blue fragment.

The first stone lies not far from the teleport. Break it and run towards the ice to hit it with a normal attack, or shoot it with a bow.

The last warm fairy floats near the test. Walk past the pond and lead the spirit along the slope to his garden. Each fairy will be given a rich chest.

When all three warm fairies are in place, begin the test in the center of the pond. During it you will have to defeat 4 waves of Cryo enemies in 3 minutes. Among the opponents are hilichurls, shamachurls and Cryo Abyss Mages, so take characters and heroes who can create shields into your Pyro squad.

The difficulty of the battle also lies in the fact that icicles are constantly falling from the ceiling, causing damage and interfering with the character, and there is a pond underfoot. Make sure that the hero is not frozen, and approach the fairy gardens to warm up.

For completing the test, you will receive a precious chest, inside of which, among other things, lies a crimson agate. The barrier around the fragment will fall and you will have to melt the ice using scarlet quartz.

Where to find scarlet quartz

The four Scarlet Quartz needed to break the ice are found in areas nearby around the fragment itself.

You will find two scarlet stones next to the fairy gardens by the pond. It is enough to break each of them in turn and use them to hit the ice crystal.

Two more scarlet quartz are located in the places where the first and second warm fairies were. Try to get them to the ice as quickly as possible before they disappear.

When you break the ice, go to the fragment and activate it to launch another cut-scene, where the object flies to the top of the mountain.

Third fragment: Surroundings of the buried capital

Travel to the third fragment to the teleportation point in the northeast of the Buried Capital Outskirts. Nearby you will see a round arena with two ruin guards and a ruin thresher. Here you have to solve a riddle with 5 Cryo monuments and a warm fairy.

How to solve the puzzle with Cryo monuments

In order to solve the puzzle, you need to activate the Cryo monuments in the correct order. The warm fairy hovering above the mechanism will tell him. Approach the device and press the “Activate” button so that the orange spirit flies around all the totems in the desired sequence.

Opening the chest will raise two Ruin Guards. Where to find scarlet quartz

When you use quartz to break a fragment of ice, activate the last ball so that it flies to the top of the mountain.

Find your way to the top of Dragonspine Mountain

Teleport to the Anemo Archon Statue on the Ice Mountain. From there, head to the cave in the southwest and reach the top of the Dragon Ridge.

On Paimon's advice, continue along the tunnel to the Cryo Hilichurls on pillars in the water. Take the archer and shoot down the two icicles on the ceiling above them to push the enemies into the water, then carefully move to the opposite side to the fire. Melt all the fragments one more time

It turns out that three fragments flew here, to the top of the mountain, and were again covered with ice. They float on rocks in the air around the column. Therefore, you will have to melt all the fragments again using scarlet quartz. Two ice fragments are located slightly above the top of the column, and the third is higher than the rest.

For scarlet quartz, go higher up the slope to the teleportation point, where you need to defeat three flying mechanisms. It is best to do this with archers, and either dodge attacks or use shields. After winning, break the first scarlet quartz from the ruin guard sitting nearby.

To avoid having to climb up to the ice fragments each time, use an archer. Pick up the scarlet quartz and use it to fire a charged bow attack at the ice.

For the second scarlet quartz, go further up the path and enter the arch where the lavachurl sits. Defeat him to pick up the stone and melt another ice fragment. At the same time, you will receive ordinary, rich and precious chests, in the latter you will find crimson agate.

The last scarlet quartz is located high in the mountains above the place with the column. In the same place where the second stone was, a warm fairy hovers and will help you get to the right place. Follow her up onto the stone pillar on the right, and then onto the cliff to the southwest. The fairy will lead you to her garden, next to which there is an Anemo monument.

To continue to the scarlet quartz, activate the monument using Anemo's element and fly through the rings to the nearby rock, where you need to defeat three hilichurls.

Next to them you will find the last scarlet quartz. Break it, pick it up and shoot it at the third fragment. When you have melted all the ice, go down from top to bottom of each round ball and activate them as you did before.

Explore the area under the ice and return to Yu Xia

The ice around the column in the center will melt, and the spike will fly even higher into the sky. The place where the ice was can be explored, go down to it and unlock the Peak of Vindagnyr dungeon. In addition to it, you will find one rich and three precious chests around.

After this, the elemental monument is unlocked and needs to be activated by Anemo's element. Next, ride the wind current that appears higher, fly through the rings and slowly climb to the top of the huge column.

A cutscene will start at the top, showing Celestia, and then a dialogue with Paimon. Immediately after this you will receive the achievement Up to Heaven.
