Natlan's plot in Genshin Impact: how to start and complete all chapters

The complete storyline of the Pyro Kingdom: background of the region, list of Archon tasks and a brief retelling of the events of the quest chain.

В Mavuika. In Natlan, in addition to getting to know new lands and finding out the truth about a relative, you will also have to deal with many local problems related to the impending catastrophe of the Abyss.

In this guide we will tell you how to open the Natlan storyline and complete the Archons' quests of Volume 5, and also analyze interesting details of the history of the Pyro Kingdom and indicate how many chapters are in Volume 5.

History of Natlan

Thanks to in-game descriptions of artifacts and weapons, Natlan's backstory became known, telling of the events that occurred before and after the global catastrophes of Teyvat.

Gathering of the Righteous

Once upon a time, during the time of established peace between the tribes, Natlan was ruled by a half-human tyrant. Having united the peoples into a single state, the unknown ruler established his dictatorship and forbade the inhabitants to believe and worship elemental patrons, as dozens of generations of Natlans had done before. Despite the end of bloody wars and conflicts, the people of the kingdom have lost the spirit of unity, extinguishing the ever-burning sacred fire and plunging the entire region into darkness.

In these terrible times, a nameless hero, a young man with burning scarlet eyes, arrived in Natlan. Having received the seer's prediction, he went in search of the righteous who still wanted to light a fire and lead their homeland to its former greatness. Meeting the heroes, the unknown daredevil approached his goal step by step.

Led by a stranger with scarlet eyes, a team of a nameless spy, the legendary twins Atavallpa and Vascar, and the silent warrior Yupanqui gathered. The last to them was a talented artisan, who had once experienced a “warm welcome” from the tyrant. Together the heroes created a plan to free Natlan and sauriansoppressed by the villain.

Uniting the Tribes

In the end, uniting not only the defenders of the kingdom, but also all the rebel peoples, the nameless hero besieged the tyrant's castle, defeated his army and burned the old city to the ground in order to rebuild a new one. The victory over the villain was won, the tribes regained their independence and were able to return to their former beliefs, and the Saurians ceased to be persecuted. However, the leader-liberator himself disappeared without a trace, as if he had never existed.

An unknown young man with burning scarlet eyes, according to legend, emerged from the smoke and returned to it immediately after the victory. Since then, the tribes have only composed legends about the great battle and the nameless hero, which are still revered by the Natlans.

The end of six heroes

The battle with the tyrant did not without a trace for the liberating heroes. Years later, only the girl from the legendary company remained alive and continued to maintain the memory of her friends. Having outlived her comrades by many decades, the owner of the mines cherished any memories associated with the heroes. Having already become an old woman, she collected and bought from the Natlan people both fakes and luxurious jewelry, once created by the same artisan who helped the nameless hero.

At the end of her days, the legendary heroine chose the most valuable finds and went to the distant lands of the night, never to return. Local residents, to honor her memory, gathered at the tree, once decorated with the old woman’s golden crown, and vowed to fulfill her last wish, forever erasing the name of the artisan from the history of the kingdom.

Tenoch's Hero's Journey

The lands of Natlan, due to their proximity to the Abyss, have always been threatened by various dangers. Approximately 500 years before the events of the game, during the time of The Caenri'ah Disasters, and even before the Ashen Sea appeared, an unknown hero named Tenoch appeared in the kingdom. Armed with an obsidian club, he wandered the region, engulfed in civil wars, and united heroes for the battle against evil.

Chapter One: Flowers under the scorching sun

The beginning of the Natlan plot is connected with preparations for the sacred ritual of the Pilgrimage - a tournament between representatives of the kingdom's tribes. Having set foot on the fiery lands for the first time, the Traveler almost immediately meets Kachina, a girl from the Children of Echo, preparing to participate in a ceremonial event. The new acquaintance happily agrees to introduce the stranger to her homeland.

As the date of the Pilgrimage approaches, the stadium of the Sacred Flame gathers future candidates for the title of heroes and ordinary spectators. Accompanying Kachina on the trip to the arena, the Traveler manages to meet other participants of the tournament: the guide of the Folk of the Springs Kinicha.

Having not received permission to the ritual, the protagonist can only watch the events from the stands. The final competition pits two close friends against each other. Having emerged victorious from the duel with Mualani, Kachina gets the opportunity to the squad of heroes and go on an expedition against the forces of the Abyss.

After the tournament, the losing guide invites her new acquaintance to visit her native settlement to relax in the hot springs and get to know the local culture better. However, a series of terrible events interrupts the carefree vacation.

Chapter Two: The Black Stone Buried Under the White

The stay in the settlement of the Folk of the Springs is interrupted by a message from the stadium of the Sacred Flame. The expedition of heroes, which set out on a hike a couple of days ago, has finally returned. Little Kachina could not survive the difficult task and died at the clutches of the Abyss. However, according to an ancient Natlan tradition, such heroes can be resurrected by the Pyro Archon himself, performing a special ritual.

Arriving with Mualani at the stadium, the hero s in the ritual chants designed to help the hero's spirit find a way out of the Kingdom of Night. But for some reason the consciousness of the deceased disappeared in the other world, which is why Mavuika was unable to bring it out of the Sacred Fire. The commotion that began is quickly suppressed by the Archon, and a team of outstanding heroes is called in to resolve the emergency, along with the Traveler.

While Mualani's squad is searching for a way to find the ancient name of Kachina using special ritual devices, a battle is raging at the stadium at the same time. The delegation arrived Capitano offers Mavuika, who is clearly losing his position, to hand over the reins of power to Fatui. The Archon refuses and forcibly drives the Harbinger out of the sacred place.

Having prepared everything necessary for the ritual, a team of outstanding representatives of the tribes goes to the Kingdom of Night to personally find their friend and bring her back to life through a breach in the barrier. The heroes almost remain in a kind of purgatory forever, but are saved by the consciousness of Mavuiki, after which the fire goddess decides to reveal all the cards of her plan to save Natlan.

Chapter Three: Behind the Smoke and Mirrors

After the events of the first two chapters, the situation in the kingdom begins to heat up. The forces of the Abyss are gradually awakening, and Mavuika, having refused the help of Fatui, still does not have enough heroes to implement the saving plan. In addition to finding outstanding inhabitants among the local tribes, the Archon needs to create an ancient name for the Traveler to ensure his safety in the coming war. To accomplish this task, she had to turn to one of the most talented blacksmiths of the Children of Echo.

In addition to the skill and extensive knowledge in the field of blacksmithing, Citlali, who knows all about the Wayobs and the Kingdom of Night, which grants ancient names. Having ed the seer, the Traveler makes a deal with her, agreeing to carry out her errand in exchange for helping the blacksmith.

At the request of "grandmother Itzli" the hero sets out to search Ororona, a protégé of the Night Wind Lords. Clues left by the young man near his home lead not only to the Fatui captive, but also to the Captain himself, allowing him to speak with the Harbinger face to face. The Queen's most powerful agent reveals more about the alternate plan to save Natlan and points out that Pyro Archon is hiding a secret.

With the information they have received, the heroes return to the Sacred Flame Stadium, where they share fresh information about the Fatui and their actions in the kingdom. Chaska and her sister Kuichi, who had just returned from a reconnaissance mission.

Chapter Four: The Rainbow Is Doomed to Burn

After hearing the information from the Captain, the Traveler decides to personally Mavuika and ask her more about all the existing plans to save Natlan and their consequences. In her opinion, the Fatui mechanism that Chaska saw during reconnaissance will soon be used to restore the arteries of the earth, which is equivalent to using the Pyro of the Heart of God. In order to prevent the destruction of the Kingdom of Night and all the memories of generations, the Archon gathers a team of heroes and goes in search of the Harbinger.

Captaino and Ororon are caught in a cave under the Tetikpak peak. A brief activation of the ancient mechanism leads to the awakening of the Lord of the Night, as well as the young man receiving an ancient name. After talking with the awakened angel and itting his mistake, the Harbinger agrees to cooperate with Natlan with the promise to forces with Mavuika for the subsequent battle with the Abyss until the last hero for her plan is found.

Using the mechanism awakens the Void, and the main forces of dark energy are now approaching the kingdom. To save the region from destruction, all active units of Capitano and Mavuika are distributed across the territory to repel the attacks. During a difficult battle that claimed the lives of thousands of Natlans and Saurians, Chaska receives an ancient name, becoming the last hero needed for the plan. Mavuika, having absorbed the energy of all the ancient names, releases the true powers of the Archon and expels the opponents from the region, destroying the Eye of the Void and part of the "false sky of Teyvat" along with it.

Gathered in the banquet hall after the victory, Mavuika shares that the battle is not over yet. The last step in the final expulsion of the Abyss will be its self-sacrifice in the depths of the Kingdom of Night. The power received from the goddess of death Ronova will destroy not only the remnants of the dark forces, but also the Archon himself, since the price for someone's death can only be another death. Together with the fire mistress, the Traveler will also go to the depths of Natlan.

Interlude: The Flame Becomes One

Having won their first victory in the battle with the Abyss, the Natlans were given the opportunity to restore their strength and replenish their losses. The Traveler, who does not want to sit on the sidelines, will also take part in the work and go to the Flower Feather Clan, which suffered more than other settlements from the attacks. As it turns out, not only the protagonist came to help the Pyro people, but also the already familiar to him yansan.

Having ed forces, the friends set off to carry out a special mission from the tribe's leader. It turns out that several fighters who participated in the battle suffered so much from the influence of the Abyss that it affected their mental state. The warriors began to have strong hallucinations and irrational fears, which they are unable to cope with on their own. Thanks to their t efforts, Iansan and the Traveler find an approach to almost every "patient" and successfully help them cope with their injuries.

The last warrior needed more serious help. To rid the warrior of the infection, the tribe's helper, Capitano, offers him a special potion, the Elixir of Clarity, which permanently seals the dark energy inside. The unusual potion is the result of experiments by Guthfrith, the former adjutant of the Harbinger. The man developed the cure, but died tragically because of testing trial versions on himself.

The conversation between the protagonist and the Captain is interrupted by Iansan, who is in a hurry to inform them that Shilonen is ready to begin the ritual of creating an ancient name. Having gathered at the Sacred Flame Stadium, the friends exchange opinions about the Traveler in order to put a suitable meaning into the future engraving.

The Traveler arrives at the Sacred Flame Stadium to meet with the Archon and discuss important details of the journey. The ancient name entrusted to Shilonen and Sitlali is not yet ready, and therefore there is still some time left to enjoy the company of friends. In honor of the battle, the Folk of the Springs are holding a festive feast, which will be attended by all the old familiar heroes.

On the appointed day, a solemn ceremony will be held at the Sacred Flame Stadium, where almost all the local residents of the region will gather. In front of hundreds of spectators, Mavuika and the Traveler, who received the ancient name "Tumaini"denoting "hope", enter the fire and go to the Kingdom of Night where the last monster of the Abyss hides.

As they traverse the Void-infested lands, both the Traveler and Mavuika will encounter the souls of ancient heroes and ordinary people who perished during the war. Phantoms, rejected by the Night Realm and the damaged arteries of the land, will help them overcome obstacles and find their way to the lair of Gosoitoth, an ancient dragon of the Void. Having gained the powers of Pyro during an intense battle, the Traveler will forces with the Archon and defeat the monster that plagues the Night Realm.

Upon returning to Natlan, the victors will be given another celebratory ceremony to honor the Traveler and Mavuika. However, the celebration will not last long: Citlali will interrupt the event and tell you that the Archon has left the stadium to meet with the Lord of the Night and Ronova to fulfill the rest of the contract. Having caught up with Pyro, the goddess, the hero will witness the ritual and act of self-sacrifice: the Harbinger of Capitano, who carries within himself many souls of his fallen comrades, will offer to give his life to put to rest all the phantoms that have tormented him for 500 years. The deity of death will accept the offer, leaving Mavuika alive, but in exchange, sending the Captain's consciousness into oblivion.
