Haro's Secret Grave in Elden Ring: How to Kill the Golem

How to reach Haro's Secret Tomb, what bosses and wonders there are. Tips on how to defeat the local Furnace Giant.

Haro's secret grave Elden Ring - an area in the south of the Realm of Shadows in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The location is a burial ground covered with red flowers, on the territory of which one of the eight Furnace Giants lives. This guide will show you how to get to Haro's Secret Tomb and kill the armored golem that players have the most trouble with.

How to get to Haro's Secret Tomb in Elden Ring

Route to Haro's Secret Tomb.

The burial ground with the same grace is a side location that is not necessary to visit to complete the expansion. Route to the desired location:

  • From the "Castle Front" grace located at the bridge to Ensis Castle, go south to the dungeon Entrance to the Dragon Pit.
  • Go through the Dragon Pit. In the arena with the Ancient Dragon Man, open the large door leading to Door to Tooth Mountain and Haro's Secret Grave.
  • Ride along the linear path east to the fork with the dragon. The northern path leads to the top of Tooth Mountain, to Bale the Terrible, and the southern path leads to the Great Altar of the Dragon Sacrament. Take the southern path.
  • Ride to the altar, in the south. Jump over the paw of a huge defeated dragon, behind which there will be a turn to the west. This path leads to the Furnace Giant in Haro's Secret Tomb.

What can be found in the territory of Haro's Secret Tomb

The location is home to several powerful enemies and the following points of interest are located:

  • funeral bird - the main boss of the area. No different from their relatives from Interearth. For defeating the creature, you will receive Ashes of War: Call of the Death Flame.
  • Boatman Tibia. Presented as an ordinary enemy. Summons a royal ghost. Tibia's Directory drops.
  • Golden hippopotamus. If you kill him you will get Shard of the Tree of Decadence.
  • Oven Giant. The most problematic enemy of the location. Has armored legs that resist damage.
  • On the territory of Haro's Secret Grave there is a age to a side dungeon - The mourner's prison.
  • Spirit Glaive - weapons left at the graves, north of the Burial Bird.
  • Rings of Spectral Light - an enchantment guarded by living stone birds and kept at the altar of a huge bird. The place is located on a hill, north of the reservoir where the Tibia Boatman lives.

Players have the most problems with the Furnace Giant in the west of the area. Let's discuss the method of killing this boss.

How to kill the fire giant at Haro's Secret TombThe Greatest Potter's Handbook (2).

The hardest of all the Furnace Giants in Shadow of the Erdtree. His legs are covered in armor, protecting him from all damage. There is no secluded place on the ground from which it would be possible to safely shoot the giant, not paying attention to his fiery rains, so you will have to act openly. It’s good that special throwing pots were added to the DLC to help you quickly kill the golem at Haro’s Secret Tomb:

  • Explore the expansion world and find Large Cracked Pots on its territory, which increase the maximum number of ready-made large throwing pots you can carry in your inventory. To find regenerating pots, use interactive map of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
  • Take The Greatest Potter's Handbook (2) in a broken house under the bridge near Ensis Castle.

After collecting at least 3-4 pots and a reference book, create pots that deal extremely high damage to the Furnace Giant if used correctly:

  • Big fire pot. If you throw it into a giant's basket, it will cause ~20 thousand damage. Recipe: ×3 Red Fleshed Mushroom, ×2 Fire Mourning Bowl. Both materials are ubiquitous in the expansion's open world.
  • Large pot from the oven. An improved version of the previous one. Causes ~40-45 thousand damage if thrown into a golem's basket. Recipe: ×2 Red Flesh Mushroom, ×2 Messmer's Coal, ×2 Stove Giant's Face. Embers are found in Guardsman camps Messmer the Impaler. Kiln Giant Faces drop from player-defeated Kiln Giants, can be found next to already defeated giants, and also have an 8% chance of falling from Messmer Guards guarding the southern gate to Shadow Haven, and only from them.

After collecting materials and making pots, ride west and defeat the rare enemy as follows:

  • Use the spiritual spring to climb to the western hill, from which you can see the giant's basket.
  • Lure the giant closer to the edge of the hill.
  • As soon as he gets close, throw one of the above-mentioned pots directly into the giant's basket. It’s more effective to throw while sitting on the Flow, which will add height: aim the automatic target lock at the giant’s body and you’re almost guaranteed not to miss his basket. Large pots from the furnace disrupt the giant's actions, so spam them so he doesn't have time to respond to attacks.

If one clip of pots is not enough, then retreat further away, quickly craft a second batch and repeat the process. In the first playthrough, two Large Furnace Pots and one Large Fire Pot are enough to take down an enemy. In a separate guide we sorted out in order where everyone lives eight Furnace Giants in Elden Ring, and also gave advice on how to eliminate them.

We hope that the tips helped you reach Haro's Secret Tomb in the Elden Ring and deal with its most dangerous inhabitant - the Furnace Giant.
