What are constellations
Constellations are a game mechanic that allows you to strengthen characters by getting copies of them.
In total, each character has six stars in a constellation (these are also called constellations among players). This means you need seven times get the same hero to collect completely himself and his constellation. To designate them, the word “consta” (short for English constellation (constellation)) and the letter C are used. 5* character from the event banner can drop during 90 spins with a 50% chance. If the dropped hero was one of the standard banner, then the next received character receives "guarantee" и will drop with a 100% chance for another 90 spins.
The set of characters with an increased chance is constantly changing, they are all periodically repeated, so do not worry if there are not enough constellations for someone in particular.
In a standard banner, the chances of getting the desired constellations are lower, since there is no increased chance for someone specific here. As for the constellations for a 5* character, the situation here is different than with the event banner - the weapon also falls in the banner, so the chance to pull out the desired character is only 1/16.

Paimon Store
In the Paimon store, you can only buy 4* characters and only two per month. To buy a hero, you need to spend a special currency that is given for twists. One constellation stands 34 Starlight.

Events
Another way to get Luck is through game events. There are also characters in events, but this is the most unstable way, since there are no regularities in the appearance of a particular hero. Characters appear in events through the patch, alternating with weapons. Sometimes there are events with the ability to choose a hero (for example, the Lantern Rite).

How to open character constellations

Activating the Traveler constellations is slightly different. Is it worth it to knock out the constellations
Whether to knock out constellations on a character - a choice, entirely player dependent. Constellations strengthen the heroes, and in some cases change their gameplay (not in a negative way, but open up space for experiments with teams).
In most cases, the strongest constellation is c6, which also means the opening of all the others. And get constellations for 5* character F2P players too expensive (or you have to give up some other characters for the sake of accumulation). However, it should be borne in mind that getting constellations for 4* characters, especially new ones, can be harder than for 5* characters, since there is no certain guarantor for them.
