A traveler discovers the path to the Heart of the Sacred Mountain to free a saurian companion from a blessing. In the Tollan volcano, where the dragons, the ancient inhabitants of Natlan, lived, the friends are met by impenetrable darkness. Complete a series of trials to find the way to the guardians deep within the mountain and solve the local mysteries.

Follow the illuminated path

Once in the dark room, activate the bowl with phlogiston located in the center of the room and wait for the energy flow to reach the locked gate. Enter the opened age and follow the flow of fuel.

Fight the Mysterious Source Automaton (this shouldn't be necessary for the lava to advance) blocking the way and continue along the corridors.

At this point, a bug may occur, due to which the phlogiston does not flow further, and the Servant of the Source is unavailable for dialogue. There is no solution to this at the moment, however, the game's technical is already aware of the problem and will fix the error.

Talk to the strange mechanism

At the end of the path you will find a small robot, which was previously carried away by the cornucopia. Talk to the mechanism, who introduced himself as Ehecatl, and ask him about the place. Having trusted the robot, go forward and explore the hall to which Ehecatl went.

Start the mechanism

At Ehecatl's request, activate the switch in the center of the room and watch the ancient city hidden in darkness come to life. After the cutscene is complete, the achievement Rendezvous with Ruin will be unlocked.

Continue exploring

Go explore the newly opened location of the Ancient Sacred Mountain on your own. Get to the stone island south of the Summoning Hall.

The Servant of the Source, located on the platform, will once again tell you what needs to be done to reach the Heart of the Sacred Mountain.

The Abandoned Sea of ​​Wisdom

Go to the western island in the Sea of ​​Shifting Consciousness location, climb inside the platform where the Astral Assembly is located and activate the switch.

To charge the device, head to the nearby point. Defeat the two Pyro Slimes at the foot of the stone pillar where the quest objective is located.

After defeating him, use the nearby soul torch to transform into a Koholasaurus and enter the Spirit Path to reach the top of the pillar. Dip into the Phlogiston Bowl.

At the second charging point, get rid of the two Dusk Mimifloras by attacking them or destroying the platforms underneath them with a Koholasaurus Dash (button Paintwork (in a jump).

Take the form of Hydrosaurian again and enter the spiritual path that has opened up. Immerse yourself in the second bowl of liquid phlogiston.

At the third point, there will be no phlogiston in the bowl. Take the form of Tatankasaurus, climb inside and perform a few hits (button PKM) on the stone blocking the path of energy. Dive into the filled pond, returning to the form of a koholasaurus.

Once the Astral Assembly is charged, return to its switch. The path to the mechanism will be blocked by the forces of the Abyss, which can only be dealt with using the rainbow beams scattered nearby. Look for energy points and activate them to fire projectiles towards your enemies.

There are a total of six rainbow beams to find and activate: three marked in blue on the map will appear at the start of the battle, and the remaining red ones will appear after all the blue ones have been activated.

The first beam is on a cube next to the Astral Assembly, and to the northwest of it, on a similar cube opposite, is the second.

To the east of the second beam, on a small lake, you can find the last, third beam. After activating it, three new devices will appear nearby, the first of which is in the air near the island. Use the funnel of currents in the liquid phlogiston to jump into the air and have time to turn on the rainbow beam.

The second beam is located in the air north of the island. Overcome the obstacles in the form of enemies and cubes by going around them from the side, and jump using the funnel of currents to activate the device while in the air. The last device is on a hill, which can be reached using another funnel of currents at its foot. After the battle, activate the Astral Assembly again and take two luxurious chests as a reward.

Closed place of sacrifice

At the second charging location, use the Tatankazavr's Soul Light located at the foot of the platform with the seal.

Go up to the first floor of the platform and find a part of the stairs on the right side. Go around the fragment to the right and double-click to activate the dash PKMto push the piece into place.

Repeat the action on the second floor of the platform by pushing the ladder located on the left, to the right side.

On the third floor of the platform, go left until you find another part of the ladder. Go around it and push it twice towards the other parts.

After activating the switch in the center of the platform, a section of the stone platform will begin to move downwards. Wait until the lift reaches the lower part of Tollan City.
