Where to Find Star Shells in Genshin Impact: Farming Routes

Star shells are found only in the eastern part of Li Yue - along the coast of the Cloud Sea. You can get everything in the open world at a time 77 units of curiosity. One-time collection to receive them in Chenyu Valley.

Guyun Stone Forest (Route 1)

On a separate eastern island called Guyun Stone Forest, you can collect 24 star shells, in this case you will have to swim and teleport several times between individual parts of the location.

You will find the first cluster of four wonders to the west of the dungeon. Domain of Guyun. One of them lies at a distance, the other three are in a chain one after another.

Continue further west and pick up another shell at the base of the stone arch.

Run further along the east coast to the north, along the way you will come across a cluster of two units of material.

From the last collection point, swim to the small island in the southeast, where you will get two more shells. There's a Geo vishap running around nearby, so don't let your guard down.

Return to the Guyun Domain and this time head north - behind the hilichurl settlement there is a curiosity hidden.

Get to the island on the left and make a detour along its western coast, where four shells lie. Move from south to north to get closer to the arena with Geo hypostasis.

Cross the island with the cube and swim to the far land in the north, where another curiosity is located.

Go to the teleporter in Guyun Stone Forest and pick up one shell in the north, behind the ledge with the tree.

Walk further along the shore and pick up the next curiosity on a small hill in the water.

There's a new shell at the intersection of two islands, head west and you'll notice it on the sandy path.

You can easily collect the last three shells in this location if you walk along the western coast - one is at a distance, and the others are located on the sides of the stone rise.

Southeast Guili Valley (Route 2)

In the Guili Valley you can get 21 units of material, collecting it here is much easier - move from south to north, along the coastline, and carefully inspect the beaches.

Teleport to the nearest point and go down to the sea; near the stone cliff you will find two shells at once. One is on the beach next to the Abyss Mages, and the second is further in the water, surrounded by Hydro Slimes.

Run further along the water behind the boulders and you will notice two more wonders.

Around the bend you will find four shells lying both near the shore and on small ledges in the middle of the sea. The fourth is at the broken boat.

Run up the map and collect two more wonders placed opposite each other.

Near the area with the Treasure Hunters you will find a small cluster of four shells.

Defeat the enemies and examine the boat sheds to get all the necessary materials.

The next five wonders are scattered further north one after another - just stay close to the sea and you will notice them all, the last one is hidden in an old boat.

Go further north, past Granny Chu's house, and you'll find a new shell.

For the last curiosity in this location, you will have to swim to a small island to the east of the pier. The journey is long, so check your supplies of food that restores stamina so as not to drown.

Mingyun Village Coast (Route 3)

On the southern coast of Mingyun Village there is Yaoguang Shoal, where 25 resource units. Here you will have to teleport several times to quickly collect all the materials.

Go to the teleport in the southeast of the location, next to which you can immediately pick up two shells.

Run along the southern coast and next to the Electro Mage Qiqing you will find a curiosity.

Follow the same direction until you reach a shell guarded by a Cryo Fern.

To the right of the previous gathering place is another curiosity.

Then go straight south and near the fan, where you can use the power of Anemo, you will notice three shells. The outermost one lies behind a bush.

Further to the west, collect two curiosities in the water. Then follow to the shore, where the hilichurls are swarming in the sand, and find two more shells.

Run to the west coast and pick up the next two shells at the rocky base.

Move north from the hilichurl shelter, where you will notice one curiosity.

Swim to the neighboring island up the map and pick up one shell from the stone peak. The second one is to the east - closer to the water.

Head north and collect two more shells lying along the shore.

Please note that in extreme cases you may encounter cryo fern.

Teleport to the northwest of the location and go down to the sea to get one curiosity.

Return to the southwest point where you started collecting, and now move northeast to find three curiosities next to each other.

Continue running west, where you will notice the last two shells in this area.

South Shore of Dragonspine (Route 4)

From Yaoguang Shoal, travel to the southern coast of Dragon Ridge to obtain 7 units of material. Just follow the beach along the rock ledges from west to east.

The first two wonders lie close to each other a meter from the sea.

The next one is hidden to the east, in the frozen grass near the ice floes.

Climb over the boulders on the left and get to another sink, not far from which there are heating pillars.

The last three are located around a pedestal sticking out of the water.

Chenyu Valley

In the Southern Chengyu Hills in the north of Li Yue, there are several places where you can get star shells one time. These farming points are located around the Yaode Valley and are inside two caves. There are a total of 6 wonders in the region.

Use the teleporter south of Tea Tree Slope and head east first to enter the Adept's Quarters. Inside the tunnel, go straight and then turn left. Hit the stone vase and get 2 resource units.

Next, leave the cave and go south, where the entrance to the Lingshu Court is located. Go forward and jump down to collect 2 shells from the plant pot on the left side.

Continue southwest and grab 2 more shells from the container on the slope next to the molds.
